Hi, I want to learn to play rock guitar but the difficulty is that it’s not possible for me to take private lessons on this and I am thinking of taking online lessons for this. Can anyone suggest me a good source where I can get the needed stuff for a beginner and help me further on to make a better rock guitar player?
Honestly you can find a lot of stuff on youtube. I found just watching videos there pretty helpful in the beginning. I'd just go there and get a bit comfortable playing before I put money into lessons.

I took lessons as a kid, but you certainly don't need years of lessons to become a passable rock guitarist. Learn basic chord formation, at least for all major and minor chords, and the major and minor scales, and you can play the majority of rock songs. You won't be Yngwie Malmsteen, but who is?
----- I’ll be Ben Gazzara, you’ll be Gena Rowlands.
