If you really want to hear a great rock record,check out Hegira. They're new and ridiculous!
The best female fronted rock band I know of right now is Hegira from the East Coast somewhere.I believed in rock music again when I heard these guys.Their website says they're unsigned but it's hard to believe with the music and videos on there. If I had the money man I'd start a label just for them cause I know they'd make me a killin'!!!!!!

If you hate the fact that there are so few good modern rock acts left you need to at least listen to this album.
Sound: Dark middle eastern Zeppelin esque stuff.
I haven't heard this album, but Chinese Democracy is embarrassing enough on its own.
