Maybe, but you know who's not? Neal Schon (yes the dude from Journey) who shared lead guitar duties with Carlos on Santana's under-rated, third album when he was just 17-- he'd actually been touring with them for over a year at that point.

I like allot of Sanata’s work, but when he is referred to as “The Maestro”, that’s getting a bit excited.

I wish I could play guitar like Santana, or Noel Gallagher(sp?) for that matter.

As it is my left hand is useless unless I'm playing xbox or basketball.

As for Neil Young as a guitarist there is no denying how great "Cortez the Killer" is, but for the most part his guitar work is emotional but kind of ugly at the same time.

Now for underrated? Esteban! That dude rips on QVC all the time and I never hear him mentioned on these boards.

Ahhh!! My junior high days!

I agree about Neal Schon. I loved Journey when I was young. The band is only listenable now because of Schon's soaring guitar solos.

No one shoot me, but I think Angus Young (AC/DC) is waaaaaay over-rated. I mean, all the guy does is power chords.
