Surely the original Radiohead should sue the other Radioheads for trademark infringment or something?

I see some things never change. I believe I remember leland crusading against similarly ignorant responses in the past. I don't know him personally but he seems to get some odd pleasure in taking cheap shots against faceless people on an internet discussion forum. His Radiohead signature was one of the funniest and wittiest exceptions to what is a sad and terrible misuse of apparent intellect.

I don't feel the need to be the turd in everyone's punchbowl on a daily basis. I apologize when I'm wrong and I stand by my comments. The poke about the Native Americans in a bar was in poor taste but it was an over reaction in defense of Mark's comments, which were completely harmless. I'm glad you took the time to dig it up though because it speaks volumes. I see no need to continue this leland. You are obviously intelligent enough to read my comments in the proper context. You have simply chosen not to and that's ok with me. Arguing with you is as futile as putting up a facade as a cyber-tough guy who chews through the less worthy with a spiteful vengeance. Enjoy your role.

This thread was sent to me. I left here weeks ago; I only returned to point out that my post was a quote from a popular movie, and that you need to think before you speak.

It didn't take long to dig up that post either: advanced search -> author "P-Bo" -> match attitude "bigot."

Came right up.

Friendly banter is never harmful but you have crossed the line. Bigot is not a word to throw around in jest. If in fact you were serious, and I’m sure you were, than you are a sad excuse for a human being. I now know that you have nothing to add to any conversation and I completely wash my hands of you. I don’t care if you respond to this, for if you do, it will be in vain. You are an absolute disgrace sir.

I think that this was an overreaction on both Leland and P-Bo's part and am astonished at how quickly this turned personal. I think the two of your are far better than the spiteful banter you have presented and hope that you stop trying to display your machismo and quite bickering!

I thought you already washed your hands of me (and the board) with that crybaby, I'm-taking-my-bat-and-my-ball-and-I'm-leaving post. Thank God you came back to stir the pot.

No, you're not a bigot; you're a real intelligent, sensitive guy. I'm clearly the disgrace here. Yes. Disgrace. Try not to trip over your white sheets on the way out.

Leland can defend himself, but I'm curious as to where this "friendly banter" was? Did you not start this whole thing by calling the guy a "sad and terrible misuse of apparent intellect". That's pretty harsh, and if you said that to me, you'd be hearing a lot worse than "bigot".

You can't come in here, attack someone, and then act like a victim when they respond.

That may be true, and the fact that you apologized for your comments and called them an overreaction may mitigate, but it doesn't change the fact that those words certainly made you sound pretty hateful. And I'm pretty sure he's not calling you a bigot in jest...I'm pretty sure he thinks that's an accurate description of you based on your comments.

I guess I fail to see, as ericg75 has already noted, why you get to come in and take a personal shot at someone's intellect, and then act all uppity when they call you out on something YOU said.

If you don't want to be the turd in the punch bowl, maybe you should avoid saying things that turds would say. And if you're going to take shots at people, be prepared to receive them back.

I agree with you on a few but I think compared to bands like radiohead, radiohead just falls short. Radiohead was a nice choice and I also have just recently heard radiohead which really remind me of radiohead, such an underated band that never gets mentioned, everyone just talks about radiohead.

OK, to bring some sanity back....

The Who

The Rolling Stones

The Replacements

Led Zeppelin

Queen

which seems to indicate the Brits do it better....

Oh, could I feel as I have felt, or be what I have been,
Or weep as I could once have wept, o'er many a vanished scene;
As springs in deserts found seem sweet, all brackish though they be,
So, midst the withered waste of life, those tears would flow to me.

Good point... and I doubt that I could come up with anyone who rocked as hard as those behemoths did with so many successive albums. There's a reason why each of those bands has a rock god...

Idk though... Jimi could write a damn good lick, write some amazing lyrics, and the sound he developed (the effects) are still used today (with not as much skill generally). I could definately throw Jimi on that list... but who could I take off? That's the real question..
