I think one of the best red hot Chilis songs ever is My Friends. I dont know why. Its just always been a personal favourite of mine. On that note, would I be right in thinking that they will be more remembered for their slow songs? Under the Bridge, Tear, Californication, My Friends all spring to mind. Not to take away from the fast songs. You cant beat Give it Away or Around the World.
Name a few of your favourite songs and why.
------------------------------------------------------------ No one's gonna take me alive, the time has come to make things right. You and I must fight for our rights, you and I must fight to survive.
Behind The Sun - great bass work by Flea on this track, and vocals from Kiedis that showed a sign of things to come Knock Me Down - very emotional song for them, definitely one of their all-time best Taste The Pain - I love those two tracks back to back on Mothers Milk, you can really feel the pain they had gone through from the loss of Hillel and their own struggles with addiction True Men Don't Kill Coyotes - where it all started, the song that got me into the band Sir Psycho Sexy - love this old-school funk jam with new production Californication - I don't even own the album, but this song gets stuck in my head quite often, the quintessential modern RHCP classic
I have many other favourites, but these ones stand out the most right now to me. They also do very good cover songs.
"If it were beneficial, their father would produce children already circumcised from their mother. Rather, the true circumcision in spirit has become profitable in every respect." -Jesus, from the Gospel Of Thomas
Everyone seems to forget Red Hot Minute, but I also like "My Friends" as one of RHCP's best. Other good ones are "Californication" and "Scar Tissue." But for a while, my enjoyment of RHCP waned until Stadium Arcadium came out and resolidified themselves as a band to watch. The album's great with many hits like "Snow (Hey Oh)," "Charlie," "Stadium Arcadium," "Strip My Mind," "Torture Me," "Slow Cheetah," and "Made You Feel Better." But Stadium Arcadium is still very fresh, so the songs from this album that stick with me the longest will determine which great songs become my new favorites.

RHCP is probably my favorite band, i love both their old and new stuff. Some definite favorites of mine are parallel universe, soul to squeeze, under the bridge, around the world, cant stop, fortune faded, and the songs made in reference to hillel's death
