This is one of my favorite songs ever.
What's your favorite Elliott Smith album personally I'm a big fan of his self-title debut. But coming close in second is Either/Or.
For me, it's XO, bar none. After that, Either/Or, then Figure 8, then the self-titled. I really don't care at all for Basement On A Hill or Roman Candle.

The sleazy guitar riff, leading to Mick Jagger's "Oh yeaaaaahhhh", at the start of "Rocks Off", the opening track of The Greatest Rock Album of All Time, "Exile on Main Street".

Basement On A Hill is for die-hards and I liked it but still it could've been much better.

I don't understand this attitude toward "Basement." I loved "either/or" and "XO", and while I wouldn't put "Basement" on the level of those two, I still thoroughly enjoy it and consider it a fine album. It's got a few brilliant tracks IMO.

I thought it was great album but in comparison to all his other albums that I've heard I don't think it's in comparison. It's a beautiful record because it reminds me of how one of the greatest singer/songwriters still can give us music from the grave.

This is by no means the best ever, but it still kicks tons of ass... "Peaches and Cream" off of Beck's Midnight Vultures... What a great opening riff by Johnny Marr.
two of the better opening 10 secs. are from the beatles, "I saw her standing there" when they count out the beat and "taxman" when you can hear one of them cough. "Crazy train" definately grabs you in 10 secs.
