Anyway, I'll throw together a quick list of 25. It's pretty much in order, but things always change day-to-day.
1. Radiohead - Kid A 2. Murder by Death - Who Will Survive and What Will be Left of Them? 3. Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights 4. Green Day - American Idiot 5. Modest Mouse - The Moon & Antarctica 6. The Streets - A Grand Don't Come for Free 7. Radiohead - Amnsesiac 8. Godspeed you Black Emperor! - Lift your Skinny Fists like Antennas to Heaven 9. Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf 10. Arcade Fire - Funeral 11. Liars - They Threw us in Trench and Stuck a Monument on Top 12. The Streets - Original Pirate Material 13. TV on the Radio - Desperate Youths, Bloodthirsty Babes 14. ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead - Source Tags & Codes 15. The Rapture - Echoes 16. Calla - Scavengers 17. Interpol - Antics 18. On my shame list is that I still have never heard Yankee Hotel Foxtrot despite all of the good praise. Don't laugh too hard at me

Does anyone have a copy of this list as it has been removed from pitchfork, along with a few other features. I also can't find the "best records of" before about 2005, how far back did they do those?
The head of state has called for me, but I don't have time for him

None of the lists are gone. Just go to the archives section, and on the right there's a link for "staff lists." You then have to go to the 2nd, 3rd pages etc.
