look at it from my perspective. you have never posted here. you start a new thread that's just a link to some site. how do I know you don't go from message board to message board dropping links to (and I'm making an assumption here) your or one of your friends' site.

EDIT: I hassled that twowaymonologues guy the same way when he made the same sort of introduction, but he turned out to actually want to be a regular poster. If you plan on actually being a member of this site, then I'm totally cool with you.

We're always happy to have new posters here, but we're also always wary when a person's first post is a link to some site or band that they may or may not have a personal (financial) interest in plugging. We've recently had a poster whose signature line was ADVERTISING. I'm sure you can understand our concern, as a Forum, to keep that stuff to a minimum.

You've since posted the link under the Listmania page, which is appropriate, so I'm gonna close this topic down and let the discussion of the Slant list continue there.
