Well, this thread oughta be pretty much the Metacritic Forums equivalent of shouting "fire" in a crowded theatre...mayhem will likely ensue.
So, here's my challenge to you. Can we find anything, anything at all positive to say regarding the 2004 Grammy Nominations? I'm not saying you can't take the Grammys to task (i.e. rant and rave about how awful they are year after year after year until the veins are pulsing in your neck and your fingers are sore from typing), but I'm wondering if anybody believes there is any redeeming value here.
Perhaps I'm simply being cynical. Perhaps many will think this year's list is a breath of fresh air from an industry that consistently awards style over substance.
But, I don't think so.
