Back in 2005, one of my friends proposed a project. I have a group of friends who are all ex-or-current record employees, and he asked each of us to submit our 100 favorite songs of the decade as mix CDRs-- our best of the decade box set, if you will. The eight of us then traded our CDRs. It was a pretty fun exercise. As usual, I couldn't relegate my submission to just 100 songs. I decided to make a disc for each year (not including 2005) and in my usual stubborness, I only allowed one song per artist (I did fudge that a bit as you will notice). This is what I came up with then, although I'm sure it might be slightly different if I were to do it now:
