Riddle me this, why are you so anxious to delete it? Once I create the private thread, the public thread is of no use to me, but I'm not sure why it is so important that it is gone to you.

I think a wise man once said...
"Hold on loosely, but don't let go. If you squeeze too tightly, you're gonna lose control."

Moderators.... just give it a thought. Not just with alleged illegal links, but for all aspects of the forum. But I'm a libertarian so you don't have listen to me, we haven't been relevant for a century or so.

Blast, I was too late to see the Goldmine thread before it succumbed to death. I thought I made a pretty crazy ass post in there last night, but I'm not to sure. It was late. Something about candy bars.

I have to agree with this. I don't listen to leaks either. If there are fifteen pages of discussion about an album before I even get to listen to it, I'm probably not going to contribute much except a line or two agreeing or disagreeing with what the general consensus is.

That's just me, though. I have a feeling most people love streaming.

You wanna know something strange? I only started getting leaks when i started reading this message board (which i did for a bit before joining). You fanatics have turned a normal music obsessive with thousands of filled jewel-cases in his closet into an uber-geek that needs the newest leak of the day. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

That was sarcasm, but it's actually true to a certain extent, although i do still support the bands that i like when i get a good leak (that sounds so juvenile to say). I think using leaked albums as a previewing tool is okay, but i also strongly believe in supporting artists that i enjoy. It also helps me save money when i come across a turd that i don't want to waste money on. In this day and age (cliche), it's hard to not be bombarded with music suggestions, so i find tempering the urge to download everything with the need to support the musicians is pretty necessary. But honestly, if something is just mediocre, i don't keep it, I've got far too much music to keep mediocrity on my computer taking up space, plus i like the cd format (though it's gasping its last breaths right now).

Perhaps you could become a nazi regime of moderators and delete any post about an album that hasn't been released yet?

If we did that, I doubt the Best of 2008 thread would even be two pages long. Razzer
