I have a sneaking suspicion that something like this already exists, but I looked and couldn't find it, so...
I thought it would be good to have a place for those of us who keep up on various blogs to post notworthy mp3s that have been posted, as well as some of the blogs that you like to check out regularly.
I'll start with my own mp3 blogroll.
Aquarium Drunkard Jefitoblog Some Velvetblog Ickmusic Songs:Illinois Soul Shower Soul Sides The B side Get on down with the stepfather of soul
I'd recommend getting over to jefitoblog soon to download what looks like another great idiots guide, this time on Graham Parker. I'm downloading it right now, and can't wait to listen to it tomorrow on the train.
I occasionally hop on over to Music For Robots which has a good variety, though perhaps it focuses slightly on electronic-type stuff.

I like MFR, too. I also like Gorilla v. Bear, My Old Kentucky Blog, and Stereogum. But at the moment, my absolute favorite MP3 blog is Said The Gramophone. The writing is passionate and edgy, and the song choices are outstanding. It's not just good writing for an MP3 blog, it's good writing.
My biggest problem is finding time to keep up with these blogs. I wind up deleting scores of MP3 blog posts from my BLOGLINES account becuase I haven't been able to read them for days or weeks, and I have no time to wade through them when the backlog reaches, say, 100 unread posts. Still, those blogs a great way to discover new music.
Really cool Joe Strummer concert was put up today at Ickmusic. I highly recommend it for those who never spent much time with post-Clash Joe (and even more so for those who did).
I also am highly recommending the new blog office naps. The strangest, best mix of music I've heard in quite a while. It has great writing and songs, even whole genres, which I've never even heard of before. Crazed and LT in particular, I think you would both like this blog.
A nice couple of posts over at jefitoblog today and yesterday. Yesterday they featured Eric Carmen's album 'Tonight You're Mine', which may have as terrible an album cover as I've come across. Today they went back a few years for two live raspberries concerts. How you go from the Raspberries to an album that looks like it should have been in Spinal Tap, I don't know, but it's good stuff to listen to.
For those curious about why people rave about Alejandro Escovedo, you can check out a fantastic cover he did of The Gun Club's song 'Sex Beat' at Aquarium Drunkard today. You can hear the gun club original also. Both very worth downloading.
Good call, klt. The entire album that Escovedo track is taken from, Bourbonitis Blues is more than worth the price of admission. In addition to the great cover of "Sex Beat," there's a cover of Ian Hunter's "Irene Wilde" that's one of my two or three favorite Escovedo performances of all time.
For as great a songwriter as he is, Escovedo has long made covers of music that had a profound influence on his own music a part of his live shows. I've seen him tear up "All the Young Dudes" several times.
Oh, here's the direct link to the post in question.

I think these might be the two most exciting tracks I've downloaded in quite a while. Live versions of two new songs that Randy Newman is currently performing on his tour and which will probably appear on his new album (supposedly coming in spring of 2007!) The sound quality isn't great, but come on, it's a few new Randy Newman songs...you take what you can get.
