The release date hasn't been shown yet, but have you seen the new Starcraft II graphics!? They're like Warcraft III graphics times 20! And instead of people making Starcraft mods on Warcraft III, they'll be making Warcraft mods on Starcraft II . The new units are great too. I'll be having a hayload of fun with the Mothership. And then I'll probably get grounded for shouting, "HA, I PLANET CRACKERED YOUR STUPID THORS!!!! SUCK IT TERRAN!!!!"

I love Starcraft. I am so looking forward to Starcraft II. On a funny note, I also blame Starcraft for getting me hooked on WoW. When my brother moved out, he took away my precious Starcraft CD, so I had to buy my own copy from Best Buy. Well guess what, the Starcraft Battlechest package (which includes the Original and Brood Wars) had a sneaky WoW 14 day trial DVD inside. The rest was history.

Zerg is fun too. Especially in the beginning. The other guy is barely building a Gateway or Barracks when zerglings mob their base. Its fun watching workers try to drive away the much faster 'lings,

I think I saw a non-set-in-stone release date for SC2 for December 9, 2008. But of course, Blizzard is infamous for pushing back release dates for 1+ years. So oisistism was right, don't believe any release date you hear. But I like SC and I got it 9 months after it came out (back when people didn't look at your ID if you were under 17 purchasing an M-rated game) and now I can't play it because I have an iMac and the thing doesn't run 640x480 res. That or it doesn't run 256 colors. Whatever the reason it keeps telling me that if I try to run the game it gives me an error message telling me that it can't run the video. This is strange since older games like Diablo II run just fine on the computer, Arcanum runs fine on the computer, Fallout 1 runs just fine on the computer (although Fallout 2 has the same problem as SC), even Civilization 2 runs fine. It's just a hit and miss when it comes to old-school games on the computer. So speaking with respect to SC, does anyone know how I could fix this? I have the 24" Monitor version of the iMac. I've already tried the compatibility options that Windows gave me, they didn't work. I would like to play the original one last time before the new one comes out (just to refresh my memory of the story before the new one comes). And speaking of the WC mods for SC, they're probably going to keep that Tauren Marine model in the editor, so people can play around with that.
Arrgh. I'm comin' for pillagin'!

Starcraft... a fantastic pc platform game that takes place in space... involves strategy and figuring out how to use your resources right... best... game... ever... i do not know how the people at Blizzard thought about starcraft... but the only thing i care about is that i play it, i love it, i will buy starcraft two, my video card wont let me play, i will spend another 200$ on a video card, then play it. Still, all of its worth it to play on of the most revolutionary games from Blizzard. If anyone here is a good Starcraft RP-player, contact me if i'm online, my screen name is Kiriel(SoS)

Thanks for the red-hot tip on a game that's been out for a full decade now.

Years ago I remember making my own map on Starcraft... you could add sounds as well, so I made sound clips of various songs, so for example each time a tank was produced, "We will rock you" would play through the speakers... train a Ghost and the Exorcist music played.
A few years later and games like GTA are using music... I like to think I started it all :-D

How long do you think before it will come out? I know Blizzard always take forever to make sure all their games are best-sellers, but man I can't wait to play this.
Getting away from Warcraft? Always takes forever? I'm still hoping for Diablo III. I mean, that game is over, what, seven years old and is still on the shelves (and not the bargain rack, either) . C'mon, Blizzard!
