I've been searching for a while and I cannot for the life of me figure out what the name of this game was. I believe it was mid/late 90's to early 2000's.
First person game on a planet where there are mny aliens, you start out in the slums of sorts. Your goal, as I remember at that point was to get money for get off the planet. You could wander around on a "hover taxi" and go into a bar and various other places.
At one point outside of the planet I believe you are on a spaceship that gets attacked by space pirates? I dont remember much of it, but I do remember spending a lot of time in the bar with an alien bartender, trying to pick the right drink.
