I have lately become very pleased with the looks of many new PC titles.
Rome: Total War Half-Life 2 World of Warcraft The Sims 2 Pirates!
But my graphics gard can run none of these with the possible exception of Rome. In fact, it can't run Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, which I picked up a few months ago. And then I check the price of new Graphics cards, and I am saddened. They are really expensive, and while I have long been a PC gamer at heart, there are also many console games I want, and I don't have to toss in an extra 100-300 dollars to play them.
Maybe if I get a job this summer..........
Anyway, what are your thoughts on the current line up of PC games?
I reserve the right to be entirely wrong.

It is a great time to be a PC gamer. this site as well as (another one that MGE would rather not plug, but one he respects) helps me spend my gaming dollars well.
The PC is really starting to contend with the consoles again which is great to see. It's been a dry well for the past few years in my opinion. Quality is finally back on the PC.
I have always thought the pc had good quality. I think now since there are no new consoles out, people are starting to maybe play more computer games and realize how many good games there are for computer.

I remember that too, it wasn't a great year for PC gaming because of the new consoles. The PC developers kept pushing back the releases of their biggest titles because they really didn't want to compete with the new consoles since they were "all the rage" at the time.
I remember wondering the samething myself and being pretty upset about it. It was awkward not having any great new PC title to talk about while my friends bragged about their shiny new consoles.
I'm glad to be an all-around player. I play pc, xbox, ps2, gamecube and gba games. And I like all the genres, except for non-racing sport titles. I can't even finish a game and I want to play another one. What a wonderful thing to be open when it comes to gaming.
I think Rome: Total War is by far the best game I have ever played. I mean it is so cool to thousands soldiers killing each other. And the grapics are great.
