I bought this game recently, installed and tried to run the game for the first time. The first task was to take a space shuttle to an orbital space station. A few seconds (literally) into the game and I either hit the alien space ship or having avoided the former, find myself back at the starting position alongside the alien space ship. The game seems to be stuck in a loop and is unplayable.

Many others seem to have played the game and had no problems. There seem to be no game patches and the version I am using is 1.0.

Has anyone else had similar difficulties? Are there any ways around this poor start, i.e. ways a using a cheat to jump ahead to the space station? I have installed the game twice but with exactly the same effect.
