the best idea for that is to get NEORAGEX or MAME (a PC neogeo /arcade emulator) and download some ROMS. those can be configured with joysticks and are a monkey-barrel of fun.

There's Worms Armageddon, that's quite fun playing with friends. You have all your worms all over the screen and you have to kill another persons, you can play with many people, you take a turn to use your worms then you go off after your turn and then antoehr person takes their shot and so on. It's kinda hard to explain but it's rather funny and fun!
I have owned plenty of command and conquer games and feel that tiberian sun and zero hour should be multiplayer enabled through the use of a controller.
Ya know wot? Ya know whats bloody what!

Yeh! i agree with "The Dave" command & conquer games are cool but once skirmish and campaign missions have been completed a few times there becomes limited challenges.

Sims could be good really if you consider sims on the PS2 whereby you could play two player but do this online and select a house that you want to play on. There could be several computer houses that you are to improve signifcantly by completing job promotions and improving the house by tidying up. basically have "get a life" mode ONLINE and make sure that missions are completed in good time. missions should be shortish due to online play.

Yeah, what is up with computer game designers?!? I just got into gaming a little, and I got a totally awesome system, but the games out there are totally pathetic. I hear all this stuff about how they've gotten so advanced, yada, yada. Bull! Most games don't even support widescreen (e.g., F.E.A.R.), most can barely support a low version of high definition, and most don't support 2 player (some don't even support gamepads at all, e.g., Call of Duty 2). This is pathetic. There is not one game out there that even comes close to using what my computer can handle (with a 3.6GHz HT processor, 2 GB RAM, Geforce 7900GTX). When are PC game designers going to step up??? I think most of them don't realize that most people out there have what are called "friends." Take note programmers-- you losers need to design games that FRIENDS can play, not some LAN server where a bunch of losers go to be "social."
The only fun games I have found so far that support 2 player are TOCA Race Driver 3 and Madden NFL 2006. (But don't buy anything from TOCA's website, Codemasters.com, because they will double up your charges.) No shooter games found yet.
I think games should have to say on them their full specifications, like whether they support 2 player on a single system, and whether they support widescreen formats, and at what resolutions, and whether they can support gamepads. They are totally fooling us right now.

There is a game I've just found that supports upto 3 xbox controllers and has kept my friends and i entertained for hours. Its called 'Trine', you might need to put it on hard otherwise its a little to easy at points but other than that its excellent.
