I've heard lots of people complain about how they'll need to upgrade their PC's. The graphics in the screenshots look ridiculously awesome.

I reserve the right to be entirely wrong.

Early returns: PC Gamer gives it a 94. (see review page). I'm expecting pretty huge things from it, actually.

I've seen preview boxes of this in my Local EB games store. I'm very excited, but I'll have to wait for the X-box version to arrive. My 733mhz computer ain't ecxatly up for any kinda gaming anymore! Frowner

I wish they'd do something about all these gobshites who review the games, movies before they've even been released. You get them on IMDB too:

"Matrix Revolutions is gonna be the best film ever, it'll be better than the first two put together"

PC Powerplay (pcpowerplay.com.au) has reviewed and given %96 (review not online, unfortunately). The reviewer, who had spent every waking hour of three days playing it in order to hit deadline, said something like "This is the best first person shooter I have ever played", and PCPP is one of those rare hardcopy zines that doesn't give a high score to everything just to keep getting the freebies.

Doom 3 is great. The gamespy review of it is very accurate though. Its gameplay is simplistic and dated, but its one hell of a fun game.

It is both really good and not so good. I think a lot of people were right when they said it's 100% engine, no gameplay. very fun if you want to just gib some zombies though, and some real creepy moments. also a huge engine hog. I'll take HALO pc over it any day, runs much smoother on an old radeon 8500 than DOOM
