Yes! I used to ruin Thanksgiving dinner by completely filling up on olives from the appetizer tray before we even sat down to eat. I love them.
I spent some time in Ukraine and while I was there I found some cans of black olives in a shop. I got really exited and brought them back home to find they were soaked in some sort of rubbing alchohol. So nasty. Almost as disapointing as the time I bought a steak shishkabob on the street only to find it was cold liver on a stick.
