Wow, this is pretty much the most random discussion to have on the site, but I like that. I don't know why, but for some reason I thought that your food of choice would be mac and cheese, Kraft. I am going to have to go with either a steak from Outback Steakhouse or yellow chicken and rice that my mother used to make. She used Mojo and some other stuff, it was fantastic.

"Wet" Burritos: A local Mex restaurant has 'em and they are giant burritos with a bunch of fillins' and then they get smothered in this delicious sauce and are covered with cheese and baked. mmm....
Yeah Soady, I have to admit that Kraft Mac and Cheese is pretty freakin' good, but the reason my name is kraftdeluxe isn't cuz I like the KRAFT company. Actually I hate 'em just like I hate all huge companies that buy up every other company and force little kids in Cambodia to work for a dollar a day to make their things. I really don't know why I chose kraftdeluxe for my name, guess it just sounded cool. he he....
hmmm...what else:
Pizza's good, but Calzones are even better! yummy!
And theres nothing more satisfying than a big bowl of steamy Ramen Noodles on a cold day.
And in the World of Dessert, Cheescake is King, Pumpkin Pie is Queen, and any desserts with Mocha (Coffee and Chocolate) are the Dukes and Lords and stuff.

Once we throw out the main food group of beer, what am I left with? (Being the hypocrite that I am, I can honestly say, "If you don't drink, don't start.")
My homemade spicy guacamole (with or without homemade nachos.)
My homemade spicy chili with beans and turkey or 4% ground beef (I can easily omit the meat, LT.)
My slow-roasted oven Spicy (of course) BBQ beef ribs or spare ribs.
My slow-roasted chicken with low-fat mashed potatoes and gravy.
My garlic shrimp fettucine alfredo.
My wife's (Brenda's) biscuits and gravy (the secret: use bacon, not sausage.)
Brenda's Gazpacho.
My Homemade Bean and Barley Soup.
Brenda's Eggs Benedict.
Brenda's Homemade Vegie Soup.
Brenda's King Ranch Chicken.
Brenda's enchiladas.
Brenda's 24-Hour Salad.
Round Table's Italian Garlic Supreme Pizza.
Any decent Kung-Pao Chicken.
Baskin-Robbins Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream.
Brenda's No-Bake Chocolate Cookies.
I know I'm leaving off plenty.
I can honestly say, if you don't eat, don't start!

We are NOT leaving out the base of the food pyramid are we, mark? Last Wednesday I left on my mid-week longish run a bit underfueled and all that carried me through the mileage was the promise of pizza and cold beer.

Looks like it's dueling pots of chili for us, my friend. I've been working on my veggie chili recipe for years now and I have to say it's become my culinary pride and joy.
My most favorite food of all is not so much a food as a meal, breakfast. I love eating breakfast in a greasy spoon alone with the New York Times. I love the ritziest brunch with friends. It's the most civilized of all meals and I love it.
Sadly, one of my favorite breakfast items was the vegetarian huevos rancheros a local restaurant The Blue Door Bistro prepared, but they have closed and I am mourning still.
Bloomington has some great restaurants. There is a small Tibetan population, so we have been introduced to the veggie dumplings called momo. What we really miss, though, is Vietnamese in general and the clay pots at Da Nang on South Grand in St. Louis in particular.
Truly, though, those are only a few of my favorites.

I forgot to mention a food that I truly love. Rice. I love it mostly with soy sauce, olive oil and yeast. But, I will eat it plain, with butter or with mexican food or other food. I just love it, it is so simple, yet so good.

I haven't tried Da Nang. I'm not even sure I know where it is...and I live 2 blocks from the South Grand food court, as I like to call it!
We eat frequently at Lemongrass and Pho Grand (for Vietnamese) and The King and I (for Thai) but the latest addition to the ethnic foods race in the STL is a little place at McDonald and Grand called Four Seasons. It's a really nicely redone place with a HUGE menu and great food.
Had you ever tried the "El Burrito Loco" from El Burrito Loco, LT? It's on Bates, off of Grand (well past the South Grand Ted Drewes...a little off the beaten path, but worth the trip!)It's the best burrito I've found in St Louis, and it's a monster.

I'm such simpleton, pE. Lemongrass IS Da Nang! They changed the name about, oh, ten years ago, but I still confuse the name.
I haven't been to either Four Seasons or El Burrito Loco, but a good burrito is worth checking out. In Bloomington, we have a great place called The Laughing Planet that serves up terrific burritos. They are far from traditional. This week, for instance, they are probably serving up a Thanksgiving creating with turkey and cranberry sauce, but you won't leave dissatisfied...or hungry.

This thread and the pie thread are making me hungry.
My favorite all-time food is spaghetti & meatballs. Followed closely by fried chicken.
My favorite sandwich is grilled cheese. I'm a grilled cheese snob. I have to examine the grilled cheese sandwich before I eat it and make sure all is correct (thick bread is not good, not enough or too much golden brown coating is also points off). But I won't turn the grilled cheese down as I am also a grilled cheese sandwich addict.

Hmmm...I guess I am going to avoid any tough decisions and say Asian cuisine is my favorite. My wife is Thai, and while she cooks very little, her mother cooks a lot! Some of my favorite Thai dishes are Pad Lad Na, Pad Kea Meow, Laab, and Guteow Moo Sup. My other favorite is Dim Sum. There is a great place in Denver called Mee Yee Lin. They make it fresh to order every day. They don't push it around on a cart like most places. Oh God, is it lunch yet?

I really love pasta and pizza! Those are the foods that I always want to eat everyday, lol! My mom's specialty is lasagna, it is the BEST lasagna I've ever tasted. It has a lot of ingredients (other lasagna stores don't have) that really has a pretty good taste and smells good! And for that, I'm proud with my mom...
I love steaks and mashed potatoes but not everyday, of course, lol.. I do limit myself to keep a balanced diet that's why my fave foods will be such a great temptation.
