Ummm, all beer tastes awful. I would rather drink paint. Also, you will all go to Hell for drinking. God does not approve, and neither does Winnie the Pooh. Drink honey, not beer!

Though I do like a Bud or Michelob now and again, British draft bitters are my fave (at room temp). Hook Norton, Tim Taylor Landlord, Thwaites, Theakston, etc
Some of the US micro beers have been good but I always forget the names - Is there one called Yingling from Philadelphia way, anyone? Red Tail from San Francisco too.
Great thread. I'm thirsty now.

Yuengling. I've had it occasionaly when I've been on the East Coast, but I'm sure our Philadelphia contingent can speak to its quality better than I can.
Draft English bitters are hard to find in the American Midwest. The Lafayette Brewing Company in Lafayette, Indiana brews an Extra Special Bitter that I really enjoy, but I'll bet its only a pale imitation.

What other beverage can make you feel so cool but yet so sober at the same time?
Shandy count?
Lager i'm not really fussed about as most of it tastes quite week and is too gassy for my liking. I'm an Ale drinker. Things like Hobgoblin, Firecrest, Bishops Finger, Waggledance, Gaoler's Ale etc... Obviously a big fan of the Wychwood brewery and its seasonal stuff.

It's all I drank the first five years I was here. Now it makes me want to vomit.

I remember when root beer came to the UK with McDonalds in the early eighties (the first time I ate out without cutlery!). I think everyone tried it (once) and McD's replaced it with another 'soda' that didn't taste like mouthwash!

<--- College student. WILL drink whatever brand of beer is purchased now. But I still like to spoil myself once in a while with Guiness, Yuengling, and Labatt Blue.
Off topic of beer...MMM, Jagermeister...gets me so drunk. I hate black licorice, but loooooove jager!
I Live in Pennsylvania, so I'm def. east coast. I actually only live about 45 minutes from Philly. So We drink Yuengling all the time out here.
There is a brewery out here in Pottsville and one out in Florida too. But i've already been to the tour in the Pottsville bewery. Good stuff. And its for all ages. Then at the end you get free samples of the beer. Unfortunately, i'm still underage. SO , i didn't get the FULL experience.

Kupper's Kolsch, from the region around Cologne in Germany, is a quality beverage. I lived on it for a year when I was 19, and it never did me any harm...
