Of course it is OK to chirp in whenever you want DJK and if you ever want to pick some games even for whenever you have a free week, go ahead. The more the merrier!
Well, I pretty much stunk this week. I picked some upsets (OK. St., Memphis) that didn't come through. I saw the GT-Notre Dame game coming from a mile away. I should have gone down and put some money on that one. Congrats to Friar and Max for having made some solid picks. Good luck to both of ya!

Well, technically my tickets were free! CSU gave that game away. Yes, the pass interference call against CSU on 4th down was really pretty bogus, but it shouldn't have even mattered. Their play selection after they got the lead totally blew. They outplayed CU and ended up losing. Oh well, I'm sure we'll bounce back against Cal!

I didn't realize that CSU was Cal's next opponent. That might be a tough call, considering how emotionally ready Cal was for UT. Cal might have a bit of a letdown week.

EDIT: I just noticed that PRG recused himself from the CU/CSU game, so that should not count against him.

Quite a few more interesting games this week, I've narrowed the field down to 15 games. Here are your games for Week #2:
All games are on Saturday, September 8th and the first game is at 11:10am EST:
#3 West Viginia @ Marshall
Miami (FL) @ #5 Oklahoma
#16 Nebraska @ Wake Forest
Alabama @ Vanderbilt
#10 Califonia @ Colorado State
North Carolina State @ Boston College
Oregon @ Michigan
#22 Boise State @ Washington
Fresno State @ #23 Texas A&M
South Carolina @ #11 Georgia
Notre Dame @ #14 Penn State
Missouri @ Ole Miss
#22 TCU @ #7 Texas
Southern Miss @ #24 Tennessee
#9 Virginia Tech @ #2 LSU
Standings after Week #1:
Max Jack - 11 for 12 @ 91.67%
The Friar - 10 for 12 @ 83.33%
FKA - 9 for 12 @ 75%
PRG - 8 for 11 @ 72.73%
EDIT: As I stated in the previous post, I've adjusted PRG's winning percentage to reflect the fact that he recused himself from the CU/CSU game.
EDIT #2: Just noticed the new rankings and updated the picks.

Wow, you guys make your picks pretty early in the week. There are some tough games this week and I am tempted to pick a lot of upsets--I still need to think this over. Mine won't be in until probably Friday everning.

I was thinking the same thing, I'll probably change my mind five times before Friday on a couple of these.

i'm looking forward to the TCU Texas game. Michigan should rebound this week against oregon. they're pretty embarrassed after last week.
of course, they might not be that good.
watch out for the USC at UGA game (you might even see me on tv cause i'll be there!). Spurrier has a great football mind and georgia and its fans are scared of him (they won't admit it though) because of what he did to us in the 90s.
I think Miami has a chance but Oklahoma's offense was on a roll last week. they got some crazy stats and they broke a few records.

Let's see. There is that Oregon @ Michigan game. I know that it makes sense for Michigan to just bounce back, yet again they might have another let down. A few years ago they had to travel up to Eugene, OR and lost a tough game where they were a big favorite, now the roles are switched.
I also presume that South Carolina might take Georgia. Although Georgia beat OK. State last week, SC is getting better year after year. This might finally be the year that Spurrier gets some of those big wins.
I also like that TCU and Texas game. But the more I look at it, if TCU does beat Texas it won't be much of an upset. TCU might just go undefeated while Texas is still trying to prove itself.
Then there is that VT and LSU game. The Hokies didn't look too impressive last week and this game looks like it might be a defensive battle. Then again, it is a night game in Baton Rouge, this one is tough as well.
I will be back later on this week to make my picks.

I know the NFL is on, but check out the game on ESPN 2. Louisville is leading Mid. Tennessee St. 38 - 35...at the half! I watched some of the first half and there is very little defense being played.

Oregon has a mind blowing offense. What we had last week was sputtering and stuttering and still they put up big numbers. I hope to heck the get in sync big time on Saturday or they will be sorry.

Yeah, that was a wild game. I think a lot of people were expecting another Louisville blow-out but it was a lot closer than last week's game. They still won, 58-42.
