I think UFOS are fiction....I mean like....I don't know, I don't have side on this....We just know what's out there....And hey, wasn't it on the news where they said there's another planet out there just like Earth with life on it?

They said that there's a planet which has an atmosphere....which might or might not be capable of supporting life....which might or might not even have life.

Look, UFOs could be from a wormhole in the Asteroid Belt. They could be from another dimension (almost the same thing). They could be spirit beings making themselves known (but I don't think they'd be "evil" then). They could be from our Collective Subconscious. They could even be from the Goodwill Store toy section. But they do exist, like Mike said, until every one of them is identified.

Hallucinations can also be triggered by mass hysteria, let's not forget that!

I've always argued, though, that the fact that they're identified as an "unidentified flying object" gives them an identity ... for whatever that's worth.

I just mentioned -- in the books forum -- that I just started reading John Keel's "Operation Trojan Horse," which really establishes the UFO as a paraphysical (sp?) entity, making it essentially synonymous (sp?) with ghosts, demons, other apparitions, etc.

I'm well versed in the area of the paranormal and I believe some UFO accounts are paraphysical entities and are linked to occult practices. One personal account of mine explains what I think many recent UFO sightings are connected to. This summer I when to Florida with some of my friends. We were in a section of the state on the gulf of mexico that is well known for UFO sightings. We were parked in at a Wal-Mart or somewhere in town and waiting for some of us to come out of the store. I was just looking out the window and for about 2 seconds I saw a sleek, somewhat cylinder-like craft come out and then back into the clouds. I quickly nudged my friend Mike who was sitting next to me and I yelled, "Dude! Did you see that above the Blockbuster sign?!?" It was too quick for him to see anything. The craft had no exhaust and very small wings if any (it's hard to remember). Plus, it was flying really low to the ground, too low for commercial aircraft (there wasn't an airport close by). I'm not a plane nerd in any way, but I know enough to to know that it wasn't a normal military or commercial craft. As I said, the area that we were going through was a 50 mile radius of many UFO sightings. Those sightings are due to experimental military aircraft. The reason the military labs and research centers are located there is so that the test pilots can fly out on to the gulf and not attract very much attention by the public.
I think 1/2 of the UFO accounts are due to this and the others are paranormal phenomenona.
"Watch out for the UFO's!" said the crazy old man in the old shack on the mountain.

One night with my dad, We were driving one night and we both saw this ufo over the water. It shot it's beam down into the river. Dad decided to park on the side of the road and turn his lights off. He did this so the aliens wouldn't get scared. So we watch the ufo pick up some water. Why they were doing this I'm not sure. Maybe some kind of resource for there planet. I don't really know. All I know is seeing this ufo was an WONDERFUL SITE! Another time I saw something was when I was in school. I was looking out the window and saw a silver disk in the sky. To tell you the truth it was almost like the one from the movie Mars Attacks. My teacher called me, so when I looked out the window again the disk was gone. I was pretty much in awe for the rest of the school day. The funny part about that day was you hardly see a ufo during the daytime. Well that's my two ufo sightings that I've seen so far. If anymore so up I will let you know.

Regarding UFO's visiting our planet, I reckon people have intense experiences that they can't explain/misunderstand.

Just recently, I had this really intense dream, my girlfriend got up at about 7 am, and had to leave for home to get ready for work. When she got up, I slightly woke up as well, and kissed her goodbye, although at the time, I was kinda half asleep. Anyway, I quickly fell back to sleep after she left, and I had this really intense dream. In my dream, I was awake in what appeared to be my room with the exact same lighting and atmosphere as when I was awake when I kissed my girlfriend goodbye, although in my dream, there was a typical gray styled alien (with a cloak) standing over me, forcing me down by pointing a claw like hand at me, as if it was using some form of incantation enforced mind control to keep me pinned down, and I could hear this sharp screeching sound resembling that of an amp feeding back. I then woke up in that exact same atmosphere, and I felt really awkward for the rest of the morning. Now, if I didn't know better (which I do) I might have thought that to be an alien encounter. The dream was just so intense, vivid and reminiscent to reality. I don’t know, maybe people experience shit like this, and get overwhelmed by it, maybe it gets to them a little too much.
