Mike's right. Rule #4 explicitly states:

"Do not start a new thread unless you have something significant, interesting, and/or relevant to say."

That's obviously subjective, but I think very few people would say with a straight face that some of hudson's most recent threads are significant or interesting, and I'm certain they're only relevant in hudson's universe.

I don't really see how enforcing the rules = fascism. I think it further shows hudson's lack of understanding of the meaning of that term. None of us mods wrote those rules either, so I suggest if you do think any of them are unjust, take it up with CNET.

This is one of those open ended rules that leaves plenty of room for interpretation. Of course, the only interpretation that matters is the one that belongs to those in power. They can slam that rule down and say "you broke rule #4, because I said you did". And what can the members do about it? Nothing, because their opinion doesn't count for shit, they have no power. They become victims.

I have to agree with hudson on this one, who decides what is significant, interesting, and/or relevant to say?

Umm...when all you post almost explicitly about yourself, it is insignificant, uninteresting and irrelevant. Interestingly enough, I think these adjectives fit both the posts and their creator.

Mike, that's quite the bullshit accusation you've got going there. Perhaps you wouldn't mind backing up that accusation with some actual substance, maybe even a fact or two.

Go through my post history and add up how many of my posts are only about me. Then find out what percentage they make up of my entire posts. If you don't do that, you're nothin' but a shit talker and you will be known henceforth as nothing but a shit talker.

If the percentage of my posts in which I talk only about myself add up to more than 5%, I will leave metacritic and never come back. That is a promise and I am a man of my word. So, do you take my challenge or do you remain a shit talker extraoridiaire?

I already know your answer, by the way.

First off, when you create a topic, you essentially create the guide lines of what is relevant by making the title.

Second, you could be posting about your self in another topic and be making a relevant point using your own experiences.

Third, even if you’re creating outlandish pointless topics, sometimes the entertainment value is relevance enough.

Says the pot. Thanks for clearing that up for us.

Hudson, here is the thing, you made countless posts full of the most retarded and rude shit imaginable. You make arguments and refuse to use actual facts to support your claim (See the politics thread) so asking me to do this big fucking math problem for you is just fucking stupid. I don't care what percentile your nonsense is, I don't care about you that much. I dp know that within the last four to six months, a very large majority of your posts have been complete and utter nonsense.

First off, when you create a topic, you essentially create the guide lines of what is relevant by making the title. The thread still has to be relevant to it's members. I don't experience Hudson in my everyday life. (thankfully) hence, I have no interest in watching him stick his head up his ass every other post.

Second, you could be posting about your self in another topic and be making a relevant point using your own experiences.Sure, but he doesn't do that, he just posts about how awesome he believes himself to be, he's a narcisist in it's truest form

Third, even if you’re creating outlandish pointless topics, sometimes the entertainment value is relevance enough.Sure, I wouldn't be typing this if Hudson didn't pregnate almost every fucking thing he touches with his premature ejaculate (Not sure what that means but I like it. I've long defended Hudson and simply asked him to tone it down, he's proven he doesn't have the ability to do so
That's it, I'm done. I hope to see Hudson banned in the near future and I hope he can find a forum better suited to his needs.

Your over-developed ego concerns me. At first I thought you were joking, but not I can see you are just a troubled young man.

By the way, hudsy. If you bother responding, just take my answer as a preemptive "fuck you," and add in some extremely graphic threats if you feel I'm being too "politically correct."

No one's saying you can't post about personal stuff, but if you continually start threads designed to stroke your own ego or make jabs at other forum members, I'd call that irrelevant. It's funny the first time, but after you've done it a half dozen times and been asked not to do it anymore, it ceases to be cool.

The world's best teachers would be so sad to see their star pupil fall so low as to trolling Metacritic's forum and accusing the moderators of being fascist.

yeah why is it when I talk about my favorite movie mars attacks in the mars attacks forum no one replys to my forum? I try to put mars attacks type forums in different spots in hopes for a reasponse only to find out know one can reply to them because the threads are being closed. Really would like to know why this is happening. Thanks.

I didn't close your threads, but if you read the Forum Guidelines and Code of Conduct, make a note of numbers 2, 3, and 6.

quote:

2. Do not repeat things that have already been said. This means you are responsible for READING PREVIOUS POSTS before making a post yourself. Obviously, if there are hundreds of posts on a topic, you won't be required to read every one, but you should read a significant portion of them. Users who constantly repeat things that have already been said do not add anything of value to the discussions in our Forums.

3. Do not start a new thread if there already is one on your subject. Yes, this means you must scan the existing threads first to ensure that you are not duplicating one.

...

6. Do not post the same message in multiple threads or forums. Pick the one best forum and thread for your message.

I know you enjoy the film Mars Attacks, but members don't need to be bombarded to death with posts about your love for it. If they haven't responded after a couple of your posts, chances are that they won't.

Indeed. It's for this reason that I'm surprised so many folk on MC get offended, perhaps at the exception of the politics thread.

martian leader, I regret to inform you that you're retarded. You're so imbecilic that you've managed to draw the ire and disrespect of what is possibly THE most courteous, mild board I've ever attended.

Congratulations, dumbass.
