KT and others in the MC "inner sanctum" got an automatic bump up to int'l playboy... A little unfair? Sure, but what do those points give you anyway?? (actually, you might be surprised...) By the way, KT will return next month...

Ok, thanks, I understand. I know the points dont really give you anything much, but they do give you power. I would probably trust the opinion of a Know-it-all over the opinion of a slacker.

Hello, I just have a placement question. I was wondering where I could put a death metal thread. I'm sure it will pretty much go ignored, but I may get a couple replies and diversity is good on sites like these. I initially thought it the "Rock" Category, but it states that it is for mainstream and classic rock, but Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, and the similar artist are nowhere near "Mainstream". So I am asking where I can put the thread. Thankyou for the assistance and keep up the good work on the site.

Good question, Mike. Go ahead an open the topic in Rock to start. If it doesn't receive any traffic in a week or so, I'll move it around a bit and see if we can generate some interest.
Be patient, though. If you don't receive responses in the first couple of days, it doesn't mean nobody is interested. Not everybody checks in every day and new members sign up all the time.

I would say to go ahead and put it in Rock, unless those bands could be considered "Indie". Maybe we can change the definition to include metal because if you look at the topics, the metal discussions seem to be in "Rock." I don't know about making a new topic. The more I play with this software, the less-satisfied I am that it will do what I want.

If you're seeing what I'm seeing, LT's and mark f's "forum moderator" designations are also on a single line... who cares, anyway? Those three (and the rest of the "regulars" - including you) make it all possible for MGE, MME, and MFE to focus on the rest of the site while maintaining interesting, non-spam-riddled forums...

In the interest of improving the Metacritic Forums, Megatron humbly offers the following suggestion to its gracious moderators; how about changing the name of this site to “Megatron Forums”? Currently, the forums are littered with boorish and uninformed users who endlessly try my patience. Renaming the forums after yours truly would undoubtedly attract more sophisticated and urbane visitors. Of course I will require compensation, but we can work out the details later.
