Scarlett O'Hara is correct. "Tomorrow is another day." It's shaping up as an exciting series and all. Don't get too mad at me though if I add that if the Angels (or Dodgers) had won the game in that fashion, I'd be bitching just as much.

I'm sorry that I am rarely on the computer on weekends or I would have responded right away! Konerko is having a helluva series, especially in the early innings. But I think the big story is the Sox' starters. They have only used their bullpen for one inning! I'm not sure if that's good or bad. I'm all for letting a starter keep rolling, but I worry about fatigue in the playoffs. Then again, there's that whole adrenaline thing they talk about.

OK, right! Now, you reply one minute before your team qualifies for the Series. Congratulations, White Sox! I won't specifically mention what happened the last time that happened.

You mean in 1959? Yeah, they lost in 6 to the um, Dodgers(I think that was their first year in L.A.). My dad got to go to one of those games. I honestly wasn't sure if they would ever make it in my lifetime...and I'm 28! Tickets go on sale tomorrow. There may be a road trip on the horizon...

What I don't get is....I recently heard the White Sox threw the WS in 1919.
Buh. So why did the 'Red Sox' have to deal with 'Curse' talk because they gave away a great hitter in the most expensive deal ever made in baseball at the time, when the White Sox threw the World Series!
If anything curses you in sports, it's losing intentionally.

There was a "Curse of the Black Sox," but it wasn't nearly as sexy as the "Curse of the Bambino." I agree though, such a scandalous act as intentionally losing is much more infamous. On a personal note, I must say how happy and relieved I am the Sox won. I wasn't sure I would ever see it happen. My garandpa was born in 1919, and he didn't live to see it. My dad is jealous I only had to wait 28 years for it to happen!
