Theorem: 3=4
Proof:

Suppose:
a + b = c

This can also be written as:
4a - 3a + 4b - 3b = 4c - 3c

After reorganizing:
4a + 4b - 4c = 3a + 3b - 3c

Take the constants out of the brackets:
4 * (a+b-c) = 3 * (a+b-c)

Remove the same term left and right:
4 = 3

Useless drivel without defining and quantifying a, b, and c.

I'll break it down.

a+b=c
a+b-c=0
4*(0)=3*(0)
So when you "remove the same term left and right" you're diving both sides by zero. But you can't divide both sides by zero, because division by zero is undefined.

Before you say something about math not understanding division by zero, we could very easily define a number system where division by zero is defined (the properties of the real numbers just break down then). It's a concious decision to make division by zero undefined.

Hee-hee, only on these forums.

Good to see a reasoned dismissal of the OP's claims, my world would have been flipped on its head if the theorem proved correct.
