Dude you've never had my Mom's paella-- to die for. Funny story. I was in the Navy and one of my first port of calls was Ibiza. First night out I convinced a bunch of my buddies to try some paella at a mom and pop restauarant on the island. It was the most disgusting thing I'd ever tried. I had been on the boat for about two weeks, so I never heard the end of it.

1. I think I had the most fun the two summers I was a Camp Counselor in North Carolina at a place called Mondamin. Definitely the best people I ever worked with/for.

2. Archangel.

Favorite chocolate dessert.

Least favorite album cover by your favorite band.

1. Jaws
2. So many to choose from, but probably Saving Private Ryan. WoTW is a close second. I think his "worst" film is 1941, but I think there is some nobility in a true stinker like that.

Favorite Kubrick film

Least favorite Kubrick film

1. Dr. Strangelove, but Paths of Glory will do too/"The Andy Griffith Show". (P.S. "So many to choose from"? What a crock! Cool)

2. Killer's Kiss, if you count that; otherwise, Lolita/Speech, actually, although I'm a very good public speaker now.

For all of our agreement about Kubrick and Bergman and a bunch of others, I'm afraid we are going to have to agree to disagree about S.S.! Wink

Oh, could I feel as I have felt, or be what I have been,
Or weep as I could once have wept, o'er many a vanished scene;
As springs in deserts found seem sweet, all brackish though they be,
So, midst the withered waste of life, those tears would flow to me.

1) Well, off the top of my head, I like the way Okkervil River takes Sloop John B and turns it into the most uplifting suicide song ever. That's probably just fresh in my head from reading the P-fork interview today.

2)Art Brut - "Pump Up the Volume". Now this is a song any music lover should be able to relate to.

"I can't say I'm not enjoying the kissing
But I've a sneaking suspicion that you're not really listening.
I know I shouldn't
Is it so wrong
To break from your kiss
To turn up a pop song"

That was Dan Marino in Pet Detective. Favre was in There's Something About Mary. Thankfully, the 90s trend of cameos by NFL quarterbacks is over.

Oh right, "laces out." I guess they were both cameo appearances as opposed to straight up acting jobs. I should have gone with Sting in Dune.
