I've noticed a lot of people on metacritic are either big readers, or do some writing. So, I figured we should have a thread for anybody who writes to post an essay, idea, character sketch, etc. and be able to get some constructive criticism from other users. I'm not really working on much right now, but I'd like to see something from another user (Feel free to move this into the book thread if you feel it's more appropriate. I only put this in off-topic, because it didn't seem like their was any place for this to go in books.)

Wow. I guess there are less writers on metacritic than you thought. I've been told that I'm a very good writer and I am currently writing a modern philosophy/theory book. Unfortunately I haven't been able to write much cuz I've been really busy these last few months and I have higher priorities than writing in my free time. I'm in no rush at all.

I have an interesting report that I did for my philosophy class last year that I should post. But if I do I better edit it cuz my writing has improved since then.

Remember when I accused you of being Mark's daughter, Ginny?

That accusation still stands. She made a thread extremely related to this a while back (which has since died)... I'm watching for more slip-ups like this, missy.

I love to write, but very rarely have time with all of my other hobbies. I barely have enough time to read, let alone sit down and write. I did attempt to write a novel once. I got about 30 pages through and decided that I just didn't like what I was writing all that much. Not enough planning, I don't think. Perhaps one day I'll wear the writer mantle once more.

I had a stick of CareFree gum, but it didn't work. I felt pretty good while I was blowing that bubble, but as soon as the gum lost its flavor I was back to pondering my mortality.
