This is why I always pick the Bears, to avoid a smoting.

I gained a spot in the standings. I'm now squarely in the middle of the pack. In your face, people!

Well, despite my free fall in the standings the last two weeks, I'm still within two games of first place. I'll know to feel shame when anyone from kendo's family passes me.

That crappy week 4 really did me in.

Personally, as a huge Cowboys fan, you have to love that win last night. Those are the kinds of wins that the Cowboys just couldn’t do over the past few years. Usually in those situations, the Cowboys were the ones on the losing side.

Now they have to compose themselves and get extra ready for the “Duel in Dallas” this coming Sunday. I know that it will be tough and that the Patriots are still the favorites but I know the Cowboys can pull out this win.

Yeah, that 'Boys and Pats game should be an interesting one. It'll be good to see someone at least put a little pressure on the Patriots. Looks like the Colts and Pats are likely the two best teams in the NFL again. History repeating itself. It's been a nice five year rivalry though.

Still can’t sleep, might as well make my picks here too:

Rams @ Ravens
This might be a chance for Baltimore to score some points and for their defense to shut down a depleted Ram offense.

Vikings @ Bears
At first look, I like Minnesota here. Then again, the Bears might use that win last week against Green Bay to turn things around.

Dolphins @ Browns
I am glad to see the Browns doing much better this year. They should have an easy time with the ‘Fins in this one.

Redskins @ Packers
So what does everyone think about the way that Washington handled Detroit last week? That was pretty bad. This makes for a closer game than it appears. If the Redskins can pressure Favre, look out, they might win.

Texans @ Jaguars
The Jaguars are one of the hardest teams to read and thus, judge. Just how good are they? Both of these teams play in the best division in football, should be a great game.

Bengals @ Chiefs
The Chiefs are at home but just lost last week at home to the aforementioned Jags. The Bengals should re-group after their coach insulted them in public following their Monday Night debacle against the Patriots.

Eagles @ Jets
I liked the way the Jets hung with the Giants last week and I don’t know what to think of the hapless Eagles. Toss up here.

Titans @ Buccaneers
This will be a pretty good game. The Bucs are better this year and the Titans are looking formidable.

Panthers @ Cardinals
Some people joked that Kurt Warner could be up for another MVP award, were they really joking?

Patriots @ Cowboys
I think that a lot of people would be split on this game had Dallas pounded Buffalo the way they should have. Either way, they will be ready, including Romo and will pull off the surprise.

Raiders @ Chargers
Are the Chargers back? That win last week, at Denver, was impressive. They get another win here against the improving but still not there Raiders.

Saints @ Seahawks
Too bad for the Saints, still winless.

Giants @ Falcons
I am tempted to pick the Falcons here who are a bit better than what everyone seems to assume. The Giants want to solidify themselves but they better not think this will be an easy win.

Well, I was at the game, but I wouldn't get too carried away with it. It was one win over a team that I think is headed straight for 6-10(sorry eric).

You weren't very happy last week, were you?

Yeah, I wasn't certain what to think of the Lions until I saw them last week. I just think that there's a bit of a blueprint for stopping their offense right now(thanks to that offensive line), and their defense never was inspiring fear into people.

The Redskins do have a strong secondary though, so I acknowledge this could've been an aberration.

No I was not. I should have blown my fantasy opponent out. Instead, it was close. I'm obviously not going to give up on him after one game, after all, he got sacked 9 times against the Eagles, but still threw for 400 yards!
