I generally like the Onion and think their stuff is pretty funny. But I have to ask this dumb question--is everything that they write fake or is some stuff real? How can you know?

It's all fake. I'm fairly certain Michael Vick never ate kittens.

Well, since most of the stuff is satire, it could be thought of as true on some level, but I agree with eg75 that story is completely fake.

Well I disagree. I'm equally as certain that Michael Vick did in fact eat kittens.

Last time I was in Thailand I think I might have*, so I guess it's not completely out of the realm of possibility.

Travelling in China, on my honeymoon, we stopped at a restaurant whose specialty dish was "Dragon Fighting Tiger." Yup, artfully displayed, a cat and a snake. We didn't order it!

I don't know, seems like everyone is going with the favorite and like everyone assumes this to be an easy week to pick games. I see a lot of good, hard games to call:

Texans @ Falcons
Don’t the Falcons have to win some day? This might be their chance to catch the Texans after that tough loss against Indy last week. Matt Schaub wants this win as well, but the Falcons have a lot to prove. Either way, win or lose, the Texans are for real.

Jets @ Bills
The Bills have a 3-game home stand and this is their best chance to steal a win with Dallas and Baltimore coming to town next. Should be a close game.

Ravens @ Browns
The Ravens are a bit overrated and the Browns want revenge. The fans should be nice and loud for this game.

Cowboys @ Rams
The Dallas Cowboys have the best offense in the NFL and their defense has only improved with each week. Greg Ellis might return, Terrance Newman is getting healthier each week. Going into the season, this was supposed to be a great match-up, then again, so was last week’s game against the Bears.

Bears @ Lions
So everyone assumes that because the Lions have improved this year and the Bears looked horrible last week that a home game for the Lions means an easy win? I don’t know, Griese should be uplifting for the bad news Bears.

Raiders @ Dolphins
Pick your loser here. Two pretty bad teams, I’ll go with the Dolphins.

Packers @ Vikings
Remember those old Vikings and Packers game where both teams were just so good? They say Brett Favre plays poorly at Minnesota, I don’t know, this one could be close. There is a reason why the Packers are only favored by 2 points.

Buccaneers @ Panthers
I went against the Bucs for two straight weeks, they are off to a surprising 2-1 start, with credit going to a solid defense.

Seahawks @ 49ers
The Seahawks might be the best team in the NFC West, but are they really that good? They should have lost last week when Cincy almost beat them on their home field. This should be another close one, but I think the 49ers can do it.

Steelers @ Cardinals
Wouldn’t it be sweet if the Cardinals pulled off the upset? Playing in the desert helps, but the Steelers are dang good this year.

Broncos @ Colts
The Broncos are really not that good and still they will probably make the playoffs and then get their butt kicked. The Colts are still the champion and are really good, that makes them the best team in the league.

Chiefs @ Chargers
So , the Chiefs are really bad, this should be a blowout right? I think the Chargers should win here, by how much, we will see.

Giants @ Eagles
If the Giants play here the way they did in the second half against the Redskins they should win. But yet, McNabb should have a huge game against the Giants poor defense. I don’t know, I’ll take the Giants at home.

Patriots @ Bengals
I would love to see the Bengals get a huge win here at home to prove that the Patriots aren’t as good as they seem. That’s wishful thinking though, I guess the Pats win again.

I can’t wait for that Patriots @ Cowboys game in a couple of weeks, should be a dandy—then again, that’s what everyone said about last week’s game against the Bears—and everyone still picked the Bears to win. OK, stop talking, before you jinx them.

Cleveland @ NEW ENGLAND
Please. Do I need to explain myself?

Seattle @ PITTSBURGH
Pitt will rebound from their loss, much to my chagrin.

Carolina @ NEW ORLEANS
David Carr will not take the Panthers anywhere, just as he didn't take Houston anywhere. Meanwhile, Delhomme is trying to avoid season-ending surgery, which does not bode well for the Panthers.

DETROIT @ Washington
Is Detroit back? On the wings of...Jon Kitna? The 3-1 Lions are looking hot on the back of a once mediocre quarterback, only now proving his worth.

New York GIANTS vs. New York Jets
Winning is a big thing for the Giants, and will give them much needed confidence for this game. The struggling Pennington will have trouble with a defense that stifled the Eagles, albeit without Westbrook.

Miami @ HOUSTON
I'll win more games than not by voting against Miami. Houston is decent and will win this one by a fair margin.

Atlanta @ TENNESSEE
Vince Young is really good. The Titans are one of the few teams that can really challenge the Colts. Harrington is carrying the Falcons admirably, but it will not be enough.

JACKSONVILLE @ Kansas City
KC proved they can beat someone, but Garrard will have little trouble and Huard will be stifled under the solid Jacksonville defense.

ARIZONA @ St. Louis
See note for Miami.

Tampa Bay @ INDIANAPOLIS
Peyton Manning is incomprehensibly good. Imagine the Colts without him...You can't. He carries that team the way Favre carries the Packers, selflessly but powerfully (And they both are in way too many advertisements).

San Diego @ DENVER
Will SD ever win this year? What has happened to Rivers, LT, and especially the defense?

BALTIMORE @ San Francisco
If Billick doesn't start winning, this may be the year he is fired. The defense collapses under any pressure, but something tells me the Ravens will win out of necessity. Think last-second field goal.

Chicago @ GREEN BAY
The same thing ailing the Chargers is plaguing the Bears. Turnovers, bad defense, inability to produce offense... On the other hand, the Packers are 4-0. Wow.

DALLAS @ Buffalo
Dallas is good. Really good. Buffalo is not.
