Arizona / BALTIMORE
I like to root for Arizona, because they are horrible. But - in Baltimore, no chance.
SAN DIEGO / Green Bay
Make fun of me, but I think the Packers are a fluke. And San Diego is going to start clicking sometime. Or heads will roll (because I have LT on my fantasy team)...
INDIANAPOLIS / Houston
I dearly wish Houston would win.
...Yeah, right.
MINNESOTA / Kansas City
KC is hapless. Seriously, they might be worse than the Raiders. Minnesota would play better if they didn't have an offense. Tarvaris Jackson is a disaster, but the Vikes' defense is more capable of scoring than some offenses. Look for the game to be Minnesota's defense winning or losing the game.
Buffalo / NEW ENGLAND
At home? New England? Sound like a winning combination. Winning by 50 or so.
Miami / NEW YORK AFC
Two disasters. I go with the disaster that looks more promising.
DETROIT / Philadelphia
! Detroit? 3-0? It looks more and more likely as Philadelphia flounders without a receiver who can catch. Note to GM from McNabb..."Next year, draft a RECEIVER instead of MY REPLACEMENT!"
UPSET SPECIAL: SAN FRANCISCO / Pittsburgh
Frank Gore is running nicely, the SF defense is looking good, and they're 2-0 for the first time in recent history. I foresee an upset... (real meaning: please please please Pittsburgh lose)
Jacksonville / DENVER
Neither team has looked great but Jax has looked worse.
St Louis / TAMPA
What a pounding Tampa gave. Garcia looks as good as he did in SF...Bulger is playing well but Jackson seems to have lost a step...either that or he is the center of attention.
CLEVELAND / Oakland
Oakland isn't winning. Ever.
Cincinnati / SEATTLE
If Cincy shows up, they will win. A 2nd straight away game, though, is likely to be more draining than invigorating. I predict another shootout.
CAROLINA / Atlanta
I don't like to get any of that Harrington stuff on me. The Falcons are finally shown to be what they really are without Vick: very bad. Not that Vick was so great, either.
New York NFC / WASHINGTON
I do not like the Redskins. But the Giants are going down, and Washington is going up.
Dallas / CHICAGO
Rumors swirl that next year's starting QB for Chicago will be...Donovan McNabb. If Grossman can Dilfer the Bears back to the Super Bowl, though, Grossman may stay. I pick the Bears in a defensive slugfest.
TENNESSEE / New Orleans.
Titans stock is going up, Saints stock is going down. What more can I say?
