Arizona / BALTIMORE
I like to root for Arizona, because they are horrible. But - in Baltimore, no chance.

SAN DIEGO / Green Bay
Make fun of me, but I think the Packers are a fluke. And San Diego is going to start clicking sometime. Or heads will roll (because I have LT on my fantasy team)...

INDIANAPOLIS / Houston
I dearly wish Houston would win.
...Yeah, right.

MINNESOTA / Kansas City
KC is hapless. Seriously, they might be worse than the Raiders. Minnesota would play better if they didn't have an offense. Tarvaris Jackson is a disaster, but the Vikes' defense is more capable of scoring than some offenses. Look for the game to be Minnesota's defense winning or losing the game.

Buffalo / NEW ENGLAND
At home? New England? Sound like a winning combination. Winning by 50 or so.

Miami / NEW YORK AFC
Two disasters. I go with the disaster that looks more promising.

DETROIT / Philadelphia
! Detroit? 3-0? It looks more and more likely as Philadelphia flounders without a receiver who can catch. Note to GM from McNabb..."Next year, draft a RECEIVER instead of MY REPLACEMENT!"

UPSET SPECIAL: SAN FRANCISCO / Pittsburgh
Frank Gore is running nicely, the SF defense is looking good, and they're 2-0 for the first time in recent history. I foresee an upset... (real meaning: please please please Pittsburgh lose)

Jacksonville / DENVER
Neither team has looked great but Jax has looked worse.

St Louis / TAMPA
What a pounding Tampa gave. Garcia looks as good as he did in SF...Bulger is playing well but Jackson seems to have lost a step...either that or he is the center of attention.

CLEVELAND / Oakland
Oakland isn't winning. Ever.

Cincinnati / SEATTLE
If Cincy shows up, they will win. A 2nd straight away game, though, is likely to be more draining than invigorating. I predict another shootout.

CAROLINA / Atlanta
I don't like to get any of that Harrington stuff on me. The Falcons are finally shown to be what they really are without Vick: very bad. Not that Vick was so great, either.

New York NFC / WASHINGTON
I do not like the Redskins. But the Giants are going down, and Washington is going up.

Dallas / CHICAGO
Rumors swirl that next year's starting QB for Chicago will be...Donovan McNabb. If Grossman can Dilfer the Bears back to the Super Bowl, though, Grossman may stay. I pick the Bears in a defensive slugfest.

TENNESSEE / New Orleans.
Titans stock is going up, Saints stock is going down. What more can I say?

Holy Jeebus. I just turned on the Lions/Eagles game and it's 56 to 21? Was the Lions defense napping during the first half?

What Lions defense? McNabb got a perfect QB rating, I think.

I'm terrible at predictions. There goes my 'NFL analyst' career option. I'm devastated.

I'm 8-5 right now. For some reason I neglected to pick the SD-GB game, but I probably would've picked SD and been wrong.

The game was close though. SD had the edge until the end of the game and then gave up 14 points in quick succession...SD's offense finally woke up, though. Yay for my fantasy team.

I cadged my list from yours, so I made the same mistake. And, I, too, would have picked the Bolts over the Pack.

I did the same. I think there were some better matchups this week. It made it a lot tougher to pick.

11-4 going into tonight's game.

Had a feeling on the Packers and Cowboys, the Bengals and Redskins had their games won but blew it in the end. Rams and Broncos just stunk yesterday. Finally, a good week for me.

Ok, 9-7 for the week. I may try flipping a coin next week. It's bound to improve my picks.

Well I went 11-5, that's not too good, considering that I should have gone 13-3 or 14-2.

I picked the Saints to win last night but that was only because I figured they would finally win last night, at home. But it doesn't bother me too much because I do like Vince Young and the Titans. I was impressed with their convincing win and it makes you wonder how much of the Saints season last year was just emotion, rather than skill.

All of our picks are essentially the same? No one going out on a limb for upsets this week?

I stand by my picks, but I see the following as possible upsets:
Cleveland- After the game they had against the Bengals, they fell back into their usual mediocrity. Division games are always iffy, and my beloved Ravens are not clicking this year. Jamal has intimate knowledge of the Ravens' playbook. This could be a nail biter, and Balto could come up short.

Arizona: The offense is putting up respectable numbers. Home field advantage may be enough to squeak past the Steelers.

Giants: Again, the home field advantage may be enough against an Eagles team that still doesn't seem to have a rythmn. The Eagles offense is a 1.5 headed threat. Neutralize Westbrook, and you've stopped the Eagles.

The matchups seem kind of uneven this week. I didn't have to think about most of those too hard. The toughest one to pick was probably Seattle - SF. I picked Seattle, but it could go either way. Detroit could also upset Chicago. Chicago hasn't been that hot this year, and Detroit might have a fire in their belly after getting destroyed by Philly last week.

You all know I'm a Bears guy, and I think with Griese starting, they'll look pretty sharp. That said, I hope Kitna puts up monster numbers like last week and loses as he is my fantasy QB.

You're missing the Carolina/Tampa game.
