All four of those teams are pretty big surprises and I think that if all continued to play well, could sneak into the playoffs.

The Packers and Lions play in probably the weakest division and I don't think the Bears are as good as last year's team. The Packers could very will win the division if they keep playing well.

The 49ers improved a lot last year, this year they should only better. Playing in a tougher division doesn't help but they already beat the Rams and Cardinals so they are off to a great start.

The Texans are the team I am very surprised by. The Chiefs were horrible but the Texans pounded the Panthers. I think we have to wait and see on them.

This week the Cowboys play the Bears. That should be a great game and I hope my 'Boys win to prove that they are arguably, the best team in the NFC.

8-8. Bad week for me. That's what I get for being creative in my picks. Wishful thinking, and the motivation that comes from tragedy got me thinking that the Bills could beat the Steelers. And I failed to believe that Houston, and San Fran were for real. I'm really surprised to see the Eagles 0-2, as well. As for the 'Skins, I don't think this is going to last. They have some good players, but I don't think Jason Campbell is the long term solution to their little quarterback problem. (17 quarterbacks in 14 years!)

The Ravens looked horrible. How do you squander that kind of lead, against a rookie quarterback? And now Billick is whining about the Jets' hard count? The Ravens defense never used to have to make excuses. Ugh. It's going to be a long season! We play Arizona, at home, next week. If that's not a gimme, I may have to take up stamp collecting or something on Sunday afternoons!

Well, it looks like I once again went 11-5. I'm not picking the Eagles anymore this season. They've screwed me two weeks in a row. The Eagles the football team is now as bad as the Eagles the band.

I went 9-7, not good at all. I always thought that NFL games were a lot harder to pick than other sports, but I didn't think I would be this bad.

That's a whole lot better than my poor 20-12 record.

Spoken like a true Ravens fan. I said that about the Ravens just about every week last year.

I don't know, he has looked fantastic, but he's looked pretty good. He still has a tendency to overthrow receivers, but he makes a lot of throws a lot of quarterbacks can't(due to his size, mobility, and arm strength). I also was very happy when they were demonstrating how he was doing a good job of looking off receivers. I think that's something he's improved with.

As for the 'Skins, I'm still skeptical too, but that was a damn impressive road victory. It wasn't just that they beat the Eagles, but they actually deserved it. I feel like there wasn't any doubt yesterday who the better team was(at least for that week). I can't remember the last time I had that feeling on a road game in the NFC East. I realize the Eagles have some injury problems(Lito Sheppard!!!), but the Redskins usually would find a way to blow it regardless.

I'm still highly skeptical of the Skins pass defense. Philly's receivers are awful, and McNabb was not accurate at all yesterday. I feel like we could get shredded by the right team(hopefully the right team is not the Cowboys).

As a loyal Cowboys fan, I am skeptical about the Redskins team as well. I don't think they have the weapons to win and their offensive philosophy has some holes.

Of course, I think the Cowboys are the top team in the East. The offense is clicking on all cylinders and the defense is improving every week. The biggest weakness is for the secondary to give up the big play but I think they will only get stronger. This Sunday, they play the Bears, that should be a good game but I hope and think the Cowboys will win.

I think the Bears defense is the first true test the Cowboys have faced this year. If they can put something up against them, I'll believe. They do seem much better. TO has yet to put his cleat in his mouth, and Tony Romo is looking more like "regular season" Romo than "late season" Romo. Was Parcells holding them back?

18-14. Bleah.

Well, the Cowboys signed the embattled Tank Johnson to a 2-year deal. He won't be eligible to play until six more games but I think they did great by signing him. After losing Jason Ferguson to a bad injury, Johnson will be a great insurance addition.

I just hope that he is in-shape and can give us great contributions on the field without the off-the-field issues.

I don't think it's really a bad move for them to sign Johnson. It's not like he's going to make the franchise look bad. He was a criminal before he got there, right? If worst comes to worst they can just get rid of him. Any idea what kind of contract he got? It could'nt have been very much for a guy with his skill.

Picks for the Weekend:

Detroit at Philadelphia - Unless Philly's playing the Falcons, I'm done picking them.
Miami at NY Jets
Buffalo at New England
Arizona at Baltimore
St. Louis at Tampa Bay
San Francisco at Pittsburgh
Indianapolis at Houston
Minnesota at Kansas City
Cleveland at Oakland - Who can suck worse? This one's a tossup.
Jacksonville at Denver
Cincinnati at Seattle
NY Giants at Washington
Carolina at Atlanta
Dallas at Chicago
Tennessee at New Orleans

I thought he was a pretty skilled player though, he was the star tackle of the NFL's best defense last year.

They got him for the minimum contract that will be prorated at $255,000 if he plays all eight games. Next year he will make $605,000, so they got a pretty good deal for him.

Cards @ Ravens
Arizona is getting better and it is noticeable but at Baltimore, I go with the Ravens.

Bolts @ Packers
The Chargers have looked pretty bad the first two weeks, maybe that's because they have such a bad coach. The upset was my first instinct and I am sticking to it.

Colts @ Texans
The upset pick here is also intriguing but the Colts are still the best team in the league.

Vikes @ Chiefs
The Chiefs finally get a win, playing at Arrowhead helps a lot.

Bills @ Pats
Dang, 16-point favorites are the Patriots? Yikes.

Fins @ Jets
This is a toss up, two teams that are playing very poorly on both sides of the ball. I'll go with the Jets in a close one.

Kings of the Jungle @ Eagles
The Lions look prime to win this game, the Eagles are not clicking but are 0-2, at home and hungry for a win. After his controversial interview, I look for Donovan McNabb to have a great game.

'9ers @ Steel Crew
Should be a good game but the Steelers just might blow them out.

Jags @ White Horses
The Broncos haven't looked that impressive, they will be 3-0 but that record is not a good indication of the kind of team they are right now. Who knows, maybe the Jags will win at Denver.

Rams @ Bucs
Which team will show up here? The Bucs pounded the Saints last week, are they that good or is New Orleans that bad? And wasn't St. Louis a popular pick in the pre-season? I don't know, just going with the team dying for a win.

Browns @ Raiders
Which Browns team will show up here? I think both teams will score a lot but the Raiders should win.

'Gals @ 'Hawks
Maybe it is just me, but it always seems like the Seahawks get all of their tough games at home. It will be a tough game for the Bengals to win but I think they can do it.

Panthers @ 'Cons
I think the Panthers win here againts the bad, bad Falcons.

Giants @ Skins
Sure the Redskins will be 3-0 but they are not one the NFC's premier teams--not even close.

'Boys @ Bad News Bears
Everyone is picking the Bears, everyone. I'll take my Cowboys because they have the great offense to match the good defense. It will still be a tough game though. Imagine how much better they will be when Terrance Newman returns?

Titans @ Saints
I really like Vince Young and the way Jeff Fisher coaches, they got a good team there. I guess it is time for the Saints to win. Does this remind anyone else of a Monday Night game last year at home where the Saints really needed a win?
