These lists look awfully similar. We're going to sink or swim together this week.

Yeah, this week is weird. By my count, there are only three games without a clear favorite: Washington-Tampa, Denver-Chicago, and New Orleans-Carolina.

I agree. Green Bay-Detroit might be close, and considering I picked Green Bay, Detroit will almost certainly win.

That's what upsets are for. If I'm not mistaken, we all fell for Pittsburgh, but the Jets stunned them. There's going to be one (or more!) of those games every week. I mean, none of us have picked all of the right teams in a week this year (although some of us have come awfully close).

That's a good point. That one should be close. Detroit has been tough at home. However, I don't know what the hell to think about the Lions anymore. When I diss them, they rattle off three wins in a row. When I finally acknowledge that they might be a good team, they lose two in a row.

I don't know if you caught this, but I thought it was funny. Especially since they did lose to Arizona that week.
Yeah, I hadn't seen it, but that's pretty good.

I understand. I'd be embarrassed if I were the bookie as well.

Detroit is a really weird team to read right now. They clearly have the talent to be a good, solid team but right now they seem complacent in their mediocrity. All of their field goals should have been touchdowns but all their drives stalled. It’s weird because the highlights show how Favre was amazing when in reality, it’s just that the Lions weren’t stopping them—at least that’s what I saw.
