I hope you're right, but right now I'm not so sure. I only count 10 Conference wins so far (and you can't turn on a college game without someone saying it's a down year for the SEC), and they are 3-5 on the road and a 16-10 overall. If they beat TN on Saturday, that could be the kind of win to put them in. Otherwise, they're still a bubble team, IMO.

I think that Kentucky's bubble has just burst. News out of Lexington reports that Patrick Patterson is out for the year with a stress fracture in his foot. Add him to the injury list with Jodie Meeks and Derrick Jasper. Now Tennessee may beat us by 50 on Sunday. Just when things were starting to turn around and it looked like we might make the tourney, oh well... Hello NIT!

Or at least three
That game was too close for comfort. I seriously have no idea how we ended up winning. If UT plays like that come tourney time, they won't make it past the second round.

Yeah I was hella surprised by how close that game was. Kentucky would run down the clock and heave up a miracle shot that was continually going in. Tennessee looked like they didn't know what they wanted to do on offense. Both teams played well defensively, but Kentucky ran out of gas in the end. If you would have told me Joe Crawford would have had only 9 points and UK would lose by only three, I would have said you are crazy.

I read in the local paper that KY had three guys who played the full 40 minutes, and a fourth at 36. I don't care how slow you play on offense, that will catch up with you by the end of the game.

I did this last year and nobody joined, but I can put up another Metacritic Forums ESPN group when the brackets come out and have a little competition.
I'm in. I'm ready to defend my NFL Pick em Championship...
Just thought I'd rub it in to those who played.

I took the initiative and created our own espn tourney challenge group, named Metacritic Forum Challenge, no password just search for it and join.
Lets keep it to one entry per member to maintain fairness and competitiveness. Now lets get to filling out those brackets!
HERE is a link to the frontpage of the tourney challenge, if you are not registered with espn.com you may have to, but it is painless and quick... I promise! I named my entry after my username (mymindsblank's entry), it may help to avoid confusion.

In case anyone was wondering, the play-in game Tuesday night does not need to be picked in the ESPN "Metacritic" Tourney Challenge. We've only got 2 entries so far, I would like to see at least a few more, even though it brings down my odds of being the champ.

All right guys, the first games begin tomorrow around 12:30 EST. Maybe you forgot but you can sign up for the Metacritic Forum Challenge anytime before then. I hope more people join, it should be fun.

OK, that link doesn't work unless you are signed in as me. Go here, sign in or create an ESPN account and then just search for our group (Metacritic Forum Challenge) to join.

Hey you're right that link doesn't work now, but it did the other day. Oh well. And don't worry Mike, I have watched less College ball this year than ever. I always pick with my heart instead of my brains = Kentucky making it to the Sweet 16, when they likely won't even win today.

What a great game to end the season. After so many people whined and complained about how all four number one seeds (the seemingly best four teams in the country) got to the final four and yet, provided boring blowouts in the semis—I don't know about you but I found both games to be exciting—the championship did not disappoint.
It truly was a terrific game. Kansas rallied and Mario Chalmers' three-pointer at the end of regulation literally saved the Jayhawks. Both teams gave it everything they had and it was one of the best finals in all of college basketball history.
A fitting end to such a thrilling season.
