Curious what magazines people on here subscribe to? I get Entertainment Weekly and used to get Newsweek until recently (though that is not related to their current scandal). I also have subscriptions to Jane, Fast Company, Cooking Light and Food & Wine (some by choice, some as gifts).

I suscribe to the Offical Xbox Magazine, with a 2 year subscription, with cool demo desks everymonth. I use to get all the other magazines like PCGamer, GamePro, and PSM, but thoes ran out and I'm bummed. I've read Maxim and Stuff Magazine and thoes seem to be pretty cool.
Terrorizer (music) is only one i subscribe to, read the tabloids each day but not really much of interest, just boring storiues blown out of proportion to the stage where they become ineresting.
I don't suscribe to anything, but there are many magazines that I read on a consisten basis. I think this will be better as a list because I am not sure how long it will be...
"New Scientist"-one of the most informative magazines as far as recent scientific discoveries go. "Scientific America: Mind"-really interesting as well. I find it amazing how little we know about our own brains. "Car and Driver"-I enjoy this because it is a more objective take on cars and it doesn't have a half-naked woman on every page. "Motor Trend Magazine"-A good magazine to make comparisons against "Car and Driver." They also feature some interesting competitions as opposed to the somewhat bland ones created by C&D. "Official XBOX magazine" excellent magazine, I am especially excited about Half-Life 2.
I spend a lot of time at the book store, as I am sure you can tell.

Sports Illustrated Discover The Nation Z Magazine Mother Jones
We used to subscribe to Baseball Digest, Sports Weekly, Science News, and I used to get Scientific American from the library all the time. I still read all of these occasionally.
That Scientific America: Mind sounds interesting, Mike. I've always been interestedin that sort of thing.

It is very interesting, their most recent issue had an excellent piece on lying. It showed that lying is part of a basic human nature, and those who are unable to lie to themselves are more likely to develop mental illnesses and that the best liars are generally the most successful.

Scientific American: Mind is a great magazine. I just wish that it was published more than quarterly. I just got a subscription to it, to go along with the regular Scientific American. I really enjoy both of them.
I just finished subscriptions to Mojo and Magnet and decided not to renew. I wish I could have afforded to continue Mojo, but it was just too pricey.

Because I know something about the way people tend to lie to themselves, I'm not very good at deceiving myself. I can see right through me. I seriously think this has made me less happy. This is one of those rare instances in which I wish I knew less about something.

I just renewed to Amplifier magazine today. They send a free cd (your choice of one of 8 albums) with each renewal. I already have the best choices (in my opinion) on their list, so I chose the one I thought would bring me the best deal in a trade-in for another cd.
I also subscribe to Goldmine (though I may not renew this), Rolling Stone (I need a good laugh now & then), Paste (I enjoy the cd & dvd with each issue) and ICE.
I buy Mojo, Uncut, Wax Poetics, Pop Culture Press, Barracuda, Gearhead, Asian Cult Cinema, Video Watchdog and Videoscope whenever I see new issues on the newsstand. Depending on the stories inside, I sometimes purchase copies of No Depression, Harp, Word and Q. When I can find a copy online, I'll get one of Bucketfull of Brains and The Ptolemaic Terrascope (which I think may have ended it's run, I'm not sure). Any magazine geared towards surf instrumental or the more obscure psychedelic artists is one I'm sure to check out.

I gave up on Amplifier a couple of years back. They used to be a great resource for all things power pop, but now they seem to be a glossy mag covering all the same stuff as every other music mag, which is a shame.
I don't subscribe to any magazines, but I do buy a few monthly. I know it's cheaper to subscribe, but I like the covers unblemished because I keep them. Them being:
Esquire The Economist Harpers Uncut
Those are the core four(hey that...nevermind). I'll buy just about anything though if it has a feature or story that looks interesting.
