You're quite welcome! I had seen you lived in my neck o' the woods. Good luck with your new hometown! With Lee's Summit growing like it has been (It's more than twice as big than when I lived there almost 10 years ago!), the police might actually have something better to do than harass young people. Buuuuut, old habits do die hard...

(You'll also live in the town of my back-up theater when I can't make it to Westglen! Eastglen Theaters is a fantastic movie experience when you can't make it to the largest theater in the midwest! Forget AMC. Their snacks are more expensive & not even as good. Plus their seats don't move! At East or Westglen you can lean back comfortably.)

"I can't live the buttoned down life like all of you! I want it all: the terrifying lows, the dizzying highs, the creamy middles! Sure, I might offend a few of the blue-noses with my cocky stride and musky odor - oh, I'll never be the darling of the so-called 'City Fathers' who cluck their tongues, stroke their beards, and talk about what's to be done with this Monkey_Boy?!"

Hey monkster, since the religion thread "withered on the vine," our paths don't cross. Hope you're doing OK!

A little late on this...

About a year ago I was arrested for "disorderly conduct" for throwing a large party. The thing is I didn't throw the party, it was next door. The party next door had police scanners, heard they were coming and turned off the lights and locked up shop. The police knocked on my door and I answered thinking that maybe a car had been vandalized (it had happened before) and I could help out.

Soon as I answered the door the cop asked me to step outside to answer some questions so I did, big mistake! The cop lied to me and said he saw over 50 people run in my back door which I denied, which was locked, and asked me if I had the keys to my house, I didn't but asked "why?". The officer told me that he asked the questions and arrested, then handcuffed me for having the party. I told him he had the wrong house and even his partner said it was the wrong house. But I got arrested anyway Mad

Attorney said it wasn't worth taking to court so I plead guilty and had to do 30 hours of community service for something I had nothing to do with. I figure I've gotten away with alot more than I deserve, but this left a bad taste in my mouth.

Dude, that makes me really mad. I hate it when innocent people get f**ked.

Yeah it sucked. I could go on about the details that didn't make sense, but whats the point. Everybody gets pinched at some point.

One of my friends got arrested for barking at a police dog that was barking at him first. The charge: harassing a police officer. He was slightly intoxicated Wink , but should have known better, city cops just look for any reason to appear like they actually are doing something.

Good ol pigs. You know you should probably call out your neighbors since they screwed you over. That and get a different lawyer.

Yeah, next time they have a big party, go out for awhile and report them from a cell phone so you don't get f***ked again.

Yeah my neighbors offered to help me out in court, but i was too busy working a full time job and going to school full time to be going to court every monday for a month, plus i'm poor and couldn't really afford a decent lawyer. I don't see why it is illegal to have a party anyway, the police kept talking to me about underage drinkers like I was corrupting the youth. WHat I learned was that if a cop knocks on your door, just don't answer it.
