Unless we have a glitch (there are a few), the LAST post will always be first. They SHOULD be presented in reverse order. Welcome to the site. I hope you feel comfortable here.

If so, is there any way we can change the order like other websites? Or how does one just go to the last posting?
If you click on the post listed under "Last Topic", it automatically brings up the most recent post. This works both from the main page and from the interior pages.

When using the Table of Contents page, if you click on the Thread Title on the left side, then the most recent post will be last. If you click on the Latest Post column (same contents page) on the far right on the colored "by last poster name", then you should always get the most recent post to come up and scroll up to see the rest. If you just want to see what you've missed since your last visit, click on the "Find" at the top of the Table of Contents page and then scroll down and click on "New Since Your Last Visit". That should give you all the most recent posts in reverse chronological order. Hopefully that's not TOO confusing.
