look at their lineup, it is quite stacked with internationally known players,
Point taken too bad they're on their way out now, although take a moment just imagine it. Imagine if Ghana beat Brazil. Ooo the possiblities. Spain could win for once, that'd be nice. Or England with Thoe Walcott ending up top scorer. I make myself laugh sometimes.

Ghana's gonna get their two scorers from the win over C.R. back, so they have a small chance of unseating Brazil, which would be awesome. It's early, but anyone have predictions about who will win or some of the earlier games? I think it's gonna be either Germany or Italy going to the finals and winning it, but that's just a feeing, not an educated guess.

Netherlands vs Portugal is going to be an awesome match!

Sweden was pathetic today. I hate diving as much as I hate thuggery. Sweden displayed both with vigor. Congratulations Sweden. Now grab a chair and watch the real teams play.

Portugal v Holland and Spain v France in the second round and so far Germany v Argentina in the quarters. Even if you discount the group games this world cup is throwing us some top matches.

Yeah, that match was an embarassment! Figo should not be playing against England. Congrats to Ronaldo for making history today, and for recovering from his poor early form!

Another one of the best games I've seen. Argentina put up a very good fight, but Germany was destined to win that game before it even began. The chancellor looked like she was enjoying herself.
I'm looking forward to England vs. Portugal tomorrow.

I'm no big "football" fan, but that Germany/Italy game was quite suspenseful, and that 119th minute goal was very impressive. I don't even think I could have done that!!
I've been saying either Germany or Italy would win it all since first round, so I'm pretty happy about the final matchup (even though I thought Germany would win in the semifinals).
If Italy wins, they'll go up to 4 all-time wins, right behind Brazil, and if France wins, Zidane can retire with a second championship, so I wont be too sad either way.
