yea i know its still thursday afternoon, but i'm ready to kick the weekend off now. this week has been beyond stressfest 2008. anybody got any fun plans this weekend?
Yeah. Funny. I have an 8 hour Engineering Exam on Saturday starting at 7:00 in the morning. Your reminder that the weekend is soon just makes me more nervous.
I'm going to go throw up now.

I'm actually not horribly worried about the exam itself. I'm more anxious for it and not looking forward to taking it, than I am worried that I will not pass.

Yeah, that's how I felt about it. It's not really all that bad. It's more of a test of mental endurance than anything. The questions themselves aren't all that bad.

7am on Saturday?? Heavens to biscuits... good luck though!
tonight i'm goin to a friend's house warming party for their new loft. tomorrow is supposed to rain, so im gonna stay in and watch tv. probably check out the memory keeper's daughter on lifetime. hopefully pass out early?
Although it is Saturday, and you are probably taking your test as I type this...Good luck!
It is super hot over here, not a cloud in the sky. What happened to April showers?? However, it is perfect weather for tanning...if that is something you like to do...

It's snowing/sleeting here and in the low 30s with a wind chill in the teens. I'm in the middle of the country, geographically speaking, and it almost never snows in April here. I went to the Royals game last night decked out like I was going on a ski trip and still froze my ass (and feet) off. I can say with confidence this is the most miserable and pathetic winter I've ever experienced, and the older folks echo my sentiment. Ice storms, below 0 wind chills for weeks at a time, hardly any decent 'snow' amounts, and dreary gray for 6 months. So yeah, even though I don't tan, I'm ready for sun and heat.
Also, best of luck Shadrach. After this it's the real world right? At least they pay you there.

My brain hurts. but I'm done now. I hope I don't have to take it again. It was like running 5 miles through the forest while people shoot at you from behind trees.
Anyway. It doesn't help that it's been cold and snowing over the past week, but today it's absolutely sunny and beautiful.
I'm going to crash on the couch, eat a pizza, and watch Tron with my wife. I went to the movie store looking for an action movie that breaks every possible law of physics. I was thinking something like X-Men, but I don't think there is a movie out there that can beat Tron for defying physics.
Thanks for your encouragement guys.

I don't know about getting paid to go to school, but as a white male born to middle class parents that works part time while going to school to take care of his wife, I have been denied tuition assistance for years. School has bleed me dry.
They even gave me a student loan when I first started. I was young and stupid and needed money to go to college. They gave me the loan and told me I didn't have to pay it off till after I graduate. What they were not clear about telling me however was that at that very moment it would start accrueing interest at a rate of 6% a year. My freshman year of college is costing me over double what it would have had I just had cash at the time. And these are the same people that denied me assistance. I'm fairly certain my interest is going to pay for someone else to go to college for free. Well, good for them I guess.

No, it is going to go down the giant black hole where all tuition money is sucked in & is never recovered for the benefit of the teachers, students, or community (same place one member of a pair of socks always gets to).
