in exactly 3 months it's christmas and i cought myself thinking about having some good time in family and....eat and do nothing! So, is christmas an important or funny or depressive holiday for you? What do you like or hate about christmas? Am i the only one who would like to be three months in the future? Let it go.

I hate that every year we have to hear about the "War on Christmas."

Also, I mostly hate the people I perceive as stupid that I'm surrounded by during the holiday season. My mom always wants to put up stuff and I have no idea why, we don't get each other presents or do anything in family togetherness, it's a completely empty gesture. "Christmas is supposed to be about baby Jesus' birthday" even though she knows it's not because he was probably born in the springtime. Also, the old cliche goes "they celebrate [x holiday] earlier and earlier each year!" but you're really jumping the gun on this one, eh? You skipped two major ones, if you don't pay attention to the boundaries between holidays you have ANARCHY!

On the plus side this year, it's looking like I'll consummate a relationship with a wonderful girl sometime in late December, so hooray for that! And if my calculations are correct, The Avalanches will grace us with their presence again before this year is over, so I'm kind of thinking about doing a Christmas/New Year's party at my house playing Since I Left You and the new one, since it's about the best party music I can imagine. "It's so fuckin' party you will die."
