This is the place to thank anyone or anything and also send a big, hearty F You to your destination of choice.

I'll start by thanking whoever recommended Andrew Bird. His music is truly amazing and it's all I've listened to this week.

I'll also send a big Fuck You!!! to the idiot from UNC who ran the students down.

I also have an "F You" set aside for Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, Gary Sheffield, Jason Giambi, Rafael Palmeiro, Rickey Henderson, and every other asshole who ruined my favorite sport with steroids.

I am going to send both a Thank you and an F you to our beloved president. A thank you for his ability to not only destroy the English language but also for being such an easy target to laugh at. And of course and big F you for destroy our economy and trying to align his morals to fit an entire country.

A thank you to March Madness for allowing me to view competitive college basketball almost continuously.

Another gracious thank you to Coke for bringing back Surge under a new name, Vault.

Last, but not least, a huge F you to fast food for making billions off of a product that is void of anything nutritious, tasteless, and full of empty calories that do not satisfy one's hunger.

I don't know what I expect; Mike has never been one for consistency.

Ah an anti-Busher, not like ive never seen one of those, being from Eugene and all.

I haven't tried Vault, but surge was pretty good while it lasted.

The one I really wanted comment on was the fast food one. People that buy fast food definitely arent looking for nutrition, taste (or good taste, at least), and don't mind the empty satisfaction of a fast food meal. Fast food accomplishes what it sets out to be, though: cheap, quick food. The whole obesity/fast food craze is pretty annoying, but no one can do much about it except maybe boycott it which probably wouldn't work. Have you seen "Super Size Me," by the way? Sounds like your cup of tea.

Super Size Me has been discussed ad nauseum on "Politics" thread.

Sorry to skip out, but I have to go drink a nutritious, tasteful, filling Surge.

Sorry, my last post here was only half serious. I do, however, see a difference between a 20 ounce beverage with 250 or so calories and a double-quarter pounder with cheese holding over 700 calories per sandwich.

I want to send a thank you to the Metacritic Powers-That-Be for creating these forums where I can hang out for hours when I should be fixing up the house, paying bills and taking an occasional bath.

Speaking of the World Baseball Classic, I'll send a "Thank You" to Cuba and Japan for providing a great finish to an otherwise stupid event. I'll also send an "F You" out to USA Basketball, USA Baseball, and every other USA international sports all-star team, filled with big, overpaid babies, competing in an event that we don't deserve to win.

Um, there are a lot of things that you can claim Bush single-handedly destroyed i.e. the environment, foreign relations, peace on earth. But in case you haven't noticed, the American economy is stronger than it's ever been, just take a look at unemployment rates, tax relief, and the stock market. I find it absurd that you could claim he's destroyed something that is actually thriving.

As far a him aligning his morals to fit the entire country. Well, our founding fathers did that centuries ago when they wrote the Declaration of Independence and assembled the Constitution. In case you haven't noticed, there's a moral outline in both, upon which nearly every american law has it's foundation. So Mike, maybe you could give a big F you to those old dead guys like Jefferson and Adams while you're at it, I mean, they basically did the same thing Bush did...right?

What's worse, a president aligning his morals with a nation or president aligning his lack of morals with a nation? Because you're gonna get one or the other.

Comparing Bush to Jefferson, classy. Wrt the economy, for some reason I do not feel that raising the ceiling on the amount of debt the nation can sustain as a successful fiscal policy. If you want to take this to the politics thread, feel free.

Great comeback! I wonder how long it took you to think that gem up.

I assume that you aren't able to counter my response with anything intelligent. Fact of the matter is, this country was aligned with aa definitive moral outline upon it's inception.

Rant...
And giving people tax breaks, raising the ceiling on debt, and eliminating useless governmental programs may not be the answer to all of our economy's woes but in a capatalist society in which 'the people', the consumers control the ebb and flow, there's only so much the government can do to make everyone happy.

Personally, I don't want the government in any of my business, especially my financial business. I despise taxes and resent having to pay them. I don't like my hard earned money going to a government to spend. I don't trust politicians to spend my money because they're all are a bunch of rich, greedy thugs.

I don't need the government's help or it's programs to live my life. As far as the other millions of people that suffer from cutbacks to government programs because they suck of the government teat, well, that's their problem. If they don't like living in a capatalist society, they can move to some socialist, welfare state.

If you're already poor, I don't think packing up and moving to Sweden is really an option.

However, for someone as independently wealthy as yourself, it would seem like it would be easier for you to pack up and move to a country without the burdon of income taxes. I hear there are some pretty nice places in the Carribean.
