I have been told today by the Editors that once InfoPop works out their tests/bugs, we will have the Chatroom function activated in one-two weeks. So, everybody, be there or be square, and stay tuned for further updates, or learn the truth before any of us do!

And here's how to get in:
From the tool bars below the links for "metacritic; metacritic forumns...etc." click or highlight "Go" with the compass icon, it's in the panel with "new, find, notify...". It should bring up 3 options. Scroll down to the "metacritic Chatrooms" and it will expand to the "Metacritic Free-For-All" . Click on that and walla, you're in. You could also click directly on the Metacritic Chatrooms option and it will take you to a page that links to the chatroom and tells you how many people are currently in the chat.

Wow, that sounds neat... I never thought of a chat room for the forums.

The Chatroom is open now. I'm not sure how long it will stay open, but if you want to get to know your MC buddies better and share more info, please make use of this feature ASAP to show the providers that we REALLY are interested in this. See you in the rubber room.

To get there, just go to the top left corner, click on GO, drag down to chatrooms, click and start typing once the screen acknowledges your presence. We can use this thread or PMs to on-line members to try to get more chats going. Be there or be square, Gators!

I don't know if this will be the best way to get the word out when a chat is underway, or if it will be distracting, but mark and I thought it worth a try.

Several of us are currently (Saturday, 02/26/05 2:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Standard Time) hanging out in the chat room. Come on in and say hello!

Yeah, I agree on the time thing. It'd also be nice if the bar flashed when someone enters the room. I often have it minimized and miss people entirely.

We are working on ways to make it simpler to get people together. You can set up schedules through PMs, or when you log on, just send a PM to everyone else logged on that you're going to the chat, and that usually works too! What we need are PMs which show up on screen when we're logged in!

I can't vouch for you, Imprezu, but parts of the site seem to be tweaking concerning the chatroom. I'm in there now, so it's still up. I accessed it from the Top of the Table of Contents page, but some other pages don't seem to let you access it. I'll PM the boss! If you go to the chatroom, I'll be there after I do that.

You get "points"...just not karma points. What's more important, you ask? "points." All of your current Karma points and $350 will get you a PSP bundle... not from us, though...

Actually, the editors and moderators DO have discretion to add karma points to members who we feel are contributing significantly to the forums, whether in what they are doing in the forums themselves, or perhaps even in the chatroom part (since that IS part of the forums.)

In that case, you should bump me up a few levels Mark.

So, anything new on making this better and such?
