Looking into getting my first toolkit and wondered if anyone on here had any advice. Everyone I've talked to recommended that I go to Sears, because there's a wide variety of kits and brands.

Any thoughts on the type of kit I should get? I'm thinking about their companion home owner kits (one has 34 pieces, one 40)...

it might depend on the size of your toolbox. if you want to go the cheap way out buy some different tools at some dollar stores. that is if you have them at where you live. another choice would be to try a walmart. Except you may be paying a h*** of a lot more. I hope this helps you.
