Haven't tried it but have seen pictures of it. Doesn't look good in my opinion. I get the impression that it'll unbalance your hand and really add nothing to the playing experience. After all it's just a piece of moulded plastic.

I'm standoffish on this, in the next month or so I'll pick it up just for Links Crossbow Training, but it looks hokey.
Also - between my two wireless Cube pads on the Wii, the classic controller, two remotes and a nunchuck.....I really don't need more peripherials around.....although I think a steering wheel will be a purchase - if there's ever a good racing game released on the Wii.
I just got the zapper and played it with medal of honor heroes 2. In arcade mode(on-rail shooter part of game) its great, it feels good in your hands while shooting. On campaign mode its a little harder, cause of the fact you control movement and turning. Maybe it just takes getting used to, but all in all I think its worth the purchase, for sure if you like on rail shooters. Its also smaller than I thought, which is good in my opinion. Cant wait to try Ghost Squad and Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles.
I was actually helluh impressed with the graphics that The Umbrella Chronicles had to offer. I played it until 1 in the morning. And the Zapper improved the gameplay much.

I mean the graphics compared to what they were shown to look like on the internet were much better than I expected. Sure, the one person shooter can get boring after awhile, but it lets you do much more than you could in the game and the visuals on the walls and ceiling were much better. I was even suprised they had the "Crimson Heads" in Mansion Incident.

They do look better than what was seen on the internet. I'm not saying they're bad, it looks nice - just not as nice as I was thinking they were going to be given Capcoms great graphics over the past few years.
I do like the Crimson heads, xmas eve I'll put some two player action time in. Single player is just not my cup of tea, I'll pass on the House of Dead compilation coming to the Wii.
I love The Umbrella Chronicles compared to RE: Dead Aim. This RE first person shooter is about as amazing as it could've ever gotten. I hate the hallway where you meet the first crimson head. I knew it was coming, just scared the living s**t outta me.

I got the Wii Zapper as a gift this Christmas from my little brother-in-law. Ever since, I've obsessed over Link's Crossbow Training. I've easily had $50 worth of fun with that game alone, so to me the $20 price tag is beyond justified. As for the Zapper itself, I enjoy having the added heft and weight that it offers; feels a lot more like having a gun in your hands than does the independent Wii remote and nunchuck configuration. I'm eager to check out the Umbrella Chronicles so I can zap some more.

Personally I loved the RE U.C., I thought it had enough puzzle solving, storyline, and action to keep me entertained. Also, it wasn't your typical short play rail game. To play it properly you're looking at well past 10 hours of entertainment.
As for the zapper, I liked it. I thought it was well thought out and easy to use. Although one of the other wii pistols (there are two, one looks STUPID) looks like it would be awesome.
The Wii Zapper is amazing, I bought it along with House of the Dead, and it was so similar to the arcade experience. Definitely worth $50, getting it at $20 is an absolute steal.
