Can someone give me a definitive answer as to whether or not Nintendo's Wii intends to carry licensed sports games? (IE, will Wii carry NBA2k7/Live 2007, NHL 2007, MLB 2007?)

...Seriously I don't know a damn thing about it. But games like super smash bros brawl, new zelda and super mario galaxy seem to be the best games so far for the console.

Most likely yes. I say this because sports games for any system are usually popular and moderately successful. The control scheme may seem odd at first sight, but it will most likely work fine on the Wii, even with its strange yet innovative controls.

take two is seriously looking into bringing the 2K line to the Wii. EA already has Madden07 coming this year. I think there will be more once the system drops and people see for themselves how the gameplay goes. I have heard nothing but praise for Madden07.

Yes, they have third party support from Sega and EA for sure.
