There's like 8 million + Wii's out there, but somehow the 360 board is 10x more popular and the PS3 board is still more popular? How does that work.. I know I'm kinda random, but still, there's so many things to talk about with Wii but no one's around.
I just got mine yesterday and I'm planning on sticking in a mod chip.

Oh, could I feel as I have felt, or be what I have been, Or weep as I could once have wept, o'er many a vanished scene; As springs in deserts found seem sweet, all brackish though they be, So, midst the withered waste of life, those tears would flow to me.

It doesn't necesarilly suck...it is just in need of some actual great games. It is fun to play bowling, tennis, and boxing with friends, but thats about it. The only games I have with it is:
Wii Play: Got it for the controller, games suck Mario Party 8: What a pile a sh*t Scarface: Meh, it's ok
Last Movie Seen: There Will Be Blood 9/10 Now Playing: COD4

the only good games out right now are: zelda tp re4 wii edition mario strikers (havent played it yet but it looks good) super paper mario and a few others that are decent(excite truck, trauma center, etc.)
but this fall and winter will bring tons of awesome games
I would say this board is dead compared to the other console boards, and contrary to the relative number of console owners, because xbox and ps3 owners are made up of a much narrower margin of consumers who tend to be technologically savvy and 'hardcore' in their attitude toward gaming. Part of the reason the wii is so successful is that it appeals to a very varied audience. How many middle aged people or adult women surf message boards concerning video games? I would say not many, though these groups are precisely those to whom the we is marketed. And they account for the market expansion that makes the wii popular.
On a side note, and this is just a thought, I've considered recently that video game reviewers tend to be of the more 'hardcore' variety, and so the criticism is biased with the hardcore expectation (i.e. graphics, immersion, etc.), whereas the expanded audience that Nintendo is reaching don't have these expectations.
Despite this, I would also venture to conjecture that the overwhelming mass appeal of the wii will eventually draw in more 'hardcore' third party developers, regardless of the wii's hardware limitations. I say this because these developers are yoked to publishers that want to make money. And making money in the console world is directly correlated with putting out your games on the system that the most people own.
Actually, the reason this board is dead is because all the console boards are dead. If the PS3 board wasn't also for PS2, it would be worse than this one because if you look, almost all the posts on that board pertain to the PS2 or PS2 games only. There are only about 5 topics about the PS3. The 360 boards may be less dead than this one but also has a few posts about original Xbox stuff. But in general, all of these game boards are basically dead. Only the top 5 topics usually have a response within a month of the day.
I love my Wii, but there really aren't many good games for it yet. (TP, RE4, Wii Sports, MP3 and WarioWare) After looking at the release schedule and recent announcements, I think the future is bright. After all the system is only one year old.
I also agree, by the end of this year there is going to be some good games out,(mario galaxy, medal of honor heroes, battalion wars 2, manhunt, fifa) for some
