Know-It-All

I just finished the game a few days ago, here are my thoughts on it -
Graphics - screnshots don't do this justice - looks much better in motion. Some of the enviroments are a bit drab - but when you're traversing across offices and ally ways, it's going to be drab. So good job there. The enemies and guns looks great as well as the weapon effects. I noticed a few odd things graphically, stuff like when in a corner a part of the screen being shown as yellow or some other colour - nothing game breaking at all as they are only there for a short period of time. The art is not as tight as say Metroid Prime 3, but it is good and works. The framerate stayed pretty smooth for me, I cannot recall any slowdown at all, but I'm sure the Wii is working hard to display the game.
Gameplay. This is where it's at. The controls are great out of the box with seemingly unlimited options to adjust them. Some people complain about some controls, take the grenade. It's mapped to a flick of the nunchuck - people will say this is an issue. Well, map it to a button or adjust the sensitivity. Myself, I had no issue with throwing grenades while moving at all. I think with a good FPS on wii you also need to take into account your particular setup, I was very at home with this game on the controls. The fitghing ramps up in difficulty nicely with enemies dodging and hiding as well as tracking you down to paint the wall with your brains. Loved the gameplay in this, pure FPS action.
The story is good, it's based on real world tales and kinda falls flat on the delivery. Using the ASE reminds me of the scan visor in Metroid Prime, searching for hidden messages and using it to perform other duties is nice - mixes the game up a bit and gives you a chance to explore the ares you are in.
Multiplayer - TBH, I rarley ever play FPS with Wii online because of hackers. I did try a few matches and had difficulties getting in any matches. It would go to authenticate and then just sit there, until I had to unplug my wii.....several times. I finally had one match and it seemed pretty good, although I got a beatdown and wasn't a fan of the mode that was picked. After Medal of Honor: Heroes 2...well, going from 32 player online to what...8 or 12? Well, it's nice to have, but I don't think I'll be online alot with this on. I don't have WiiSpeak either, so can't comment on that aspect.
Overall, even after hitting up 5 different stores to finally get a copy - I'm happy. It delivered everything I wanted. If you like FPS action and have been starved like me for some action on the Wii in this genre - get the game. This will do you nicely until Trilogy comes out in a couple months.
Let's not forget the health, which starting out you're loking for 'stimpacks' then later on it's more of a modern FPS with regenerative health.
