Anyone get a Wii? I picked one up launch day (sounds so much easier than it was) with Twilight Princess and a points card.

First off - I have to say that without doing anything other than playing the bundled Wii Sports.....this is the funnest console I have ever played on. (period) It is FUN! You hear that???? Games are FUN everyone!!1 K, I'll stop :P

Beyond the system being fun to play with the remote - the Virtual Console service is a home run with me, I've downloaded Sim City for the SNES and Sonic the Hedgehog for Genesis, instant time warp back....I can't wait for more classics to become available.

The system itself is small, like an external HDD, the wireless setup is very easy, the remote works very good - I am quite suprised at the remote. It feels good and .....natural. It's something else to be sitting there playing a game with your hands in comfortable normal positions instead of in the gamer 'clutch' position.

Motions - you do NOT need to use exaggerated arm motions to play this system, simple small movements work very well, although playing tennis - you'll get into it and be swinging a bit more, just because it's so damn fun.

Graphics - well I'm only playing Zelda and it's still graphically a gamecube game, the little cube can pump out some great graphics though, so graphics are going to depend on a few things:
your setup - I'm on an SD 27" Sony Wega CRT - so to me the graphics are great, just what I expected

instead of going onin this department, i'd say if you are always viewing HD programming and playing HD games - then - yeah, the graphics will look less than that of what you are used too.
If you are a normal joe without a HD set and used to regular programming, then they will look good. Geez - that's a thread unto it's own.
Bottom line is we aren't talking 15 years ago here - the graphics look great.

I say if you've thought about getting a Wii and are out and see one - get it - you'll not be disappointed.

It is really the funnest console experience ever, and I've been playing since the Atari 2600. I forgot how games could be fun, but I'll still be getting my hardcore epic games (Zelda, Metroid Prime)

He's right about the movements, you don't have to work up a sweat if you don't want to.

I couldn't get a Wii. However, I did buy Zelda and play it at my friend's house, since he had a Wii. I have to say, after playing a bunch of the games I was very impressed with the console. This really is changing gameplay and the motion sensing is a fantastic alternative to the button controls, which feel boring after going back to them.

Its weird, my brother picked up a Wii on release date and when I came home for Winter Break we played around with it. We played Wii Sports and that was pretty fun, and one day I decided to play his Zelda, which was pretty cool. But after that, I stopped playing. I have no idea why, but I just stopped and its not like I didn't have any free time, instead I went back to GUN on Xbox and GHII on PS2. I'm not saying Wii's a bad system, I just have no idea why I'm not playing it. Maybe I'm sick???

Main games i'm playing are Zelda, Red Steel and Wii Sports. And omg am i impressed! For only £180 (here in England) is immensely cheap and so much more fun than the xbox 360 and the PS3. I really don't know why anyone would buy ANY other console. The Wii has it all! With the new motion - sensored wiimote i couldn't be happier!

I had super paper mario and zelda loved them!!! just like he said if u are out and see one, buy it! the controls feel great and there are many great games gonna come out this year
