Once again, very funny posts Boratrules. Judging by your name, I would assume that you might thing Borat was more than just "maybe the funniest film of 2006."
I found it to be offensive, ridiculous, and flat out hysterical. Sacha Baron Cohen has been creating great character for maybe eight years now and Borat might be his best one so far--not to mention that he claims Peter Sellers as his greatest influence and he is no slouch. I think I lean more towards Little Miss Sunshine as being the funniest film of 2006, but boy Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan was hilarious as well.

I didn't like the film so much because it was so offensive, which is why i don't really like the parts in Jackass where they were a nuisance to the public.
Yet, in the movie I liked how Cohen brought out the true nature of people, such as the national anthem scene, which was hilarious. However, I didn't like how he manipulated the people, even though there was nothing to prove, such as where he made fun of the people of Kaszantan, when it was actually a small town in Europe who thought they were getting recognized for their poverty, and they ended up getting SH#@

I found it to be the funniest movie of 2006. The only movie that was close to that funny was "Ricky Bobby". It was disturbing, cruel, offensive, insulting, and flat out mean. Still, it pulled all of that off into one large stroke of genious. He was better in this movie than he was on "Da Ali G Show".

I thought BORAT was enjoyable, but I'm not gaga over it the way most folks and most critics are. No, I didn't find it "one of the best comedies ever." There's a terrible double standard when it comes to embracing comedies, in my opinion. When Borat does it, it's "genius." When Larry the Cable Guy does it, it's "offensive and low-brow."
